Doesn't come with 5V power adapter (which is necessary) and the remote doesn't seem to work. For the most part it will auto-sense (when you have 5V supplied) and switch to whatever is turned on but it's not flawless. Fortunately, you just get off your duff and hit the button and it switches.

It seems work with my XBOX 360 and PS4 (no video/sound issues) and it beats repeatedly plugging/unplugging cables.

It's cheap enough and works just enough to recommend it but it's not without it's flaws.

Doesn't auto switch - at least when I power on/off the devices plugged into it (an Apple TV and a WD Live). It does auto switch if I get up and physically plug/unplug the HDMI cable for an attached device - but that defeats the purpose! I'd rather get up and use the Select button on the switch - but again, that defeats the purpose!. I guess this is because even when the Apple TV and/or WD Live is powered off there's still power emitting from the device. I also now suspect this would be the case for just about any such device you'd be plugging into this switch - so really doubt this would ever work for anyone as expected Otherwise, though its teeny-tiny, requires no external AC power, and seems to pass signal well enough.

I've stopped using this device because the auto-switch function is awful, and it's easier just to manually unplug things.

It never switches when it's supposed to, and it's constantly switching randomly when I want it to stay put. The instructions mentioned a way to turn off the auto-switch, but they were terribly written and I couldn't get it to work. If I have to get up to press the button to switch it (or switch it back when it switches itself), I may as well just not have a switcher.

Excellent product. The switch is super compact and the auto-toggle functionality works great. If you have two HDMI devices and the first one is powered on, the switch will toggle over to the second device when the second device powers up. When the second device powers down, the switch toggles back to device #1. Also has a manual button if you want to override the auto-device selection. LEDS indicate which device is selected. The device powers off the HDMI input signal.

This product is well worth every penny! I've found HDMI switches with similar functionality in stores that are a lot more pricier. Would definitely recommend this product.

The switch here does exactly what I wanted it to do with a few very slight ommissions that I can fix RedGreen style.

Pros:
It's very small! It takes up roughly 2"x2", so it can be placed anywhere and fit comfortably.
The automatic switching is good. I turn on my PS3 and my dual-screen PC setup automatically switches to one screen, while the big HD monitor switches to my PS3.
Manual switching can be done by pressing a button on the device. It's big and clicky, not flimsy and I'd assume it wouldn't break after periodic use. It's a sturdy, tiny device.

Cons:
The blue light showing the device is in use is useless and very bright. I hide it behind my monitor and it lights up the wall behind it. Though that isn't the end of the world, it's just a slip of duct-tape away from being ignored.
The automatic switching is SLOW. I'm not sure if it's my monitor, my PS3, or this device, but I have to wait 5-10 seconds for switches to occur.

Neutral:
The box doesn't come with a cable attached for the output. This is bad in that I have to buy an extra HDMI cable in order to use the device, but good in the sense that you can attach longer-reaching cables to both the input and output.

Overall it's a solid device that I enjoy using. Its shortcomings are small and what works, works well. I'd buy this again if I had to choose between HDMI switches.

I use this little gizmo to connect my Mac Mini and XBox 360 to my Dell monitor. It works flawlessly and does not require any external power. Word of caution though: use quality cable. When I tried it with standard HDMI cable, nothing appeared on the screen. I though the box was not working. But I tried with better cables and saw that the box was working perfectly. So if you have problems, your first step should be to change your cables.

I'm using two of these switches now and the automatic switching doesn't work on either. They randomly switch between ports sometimes leaving you with an inactive selection. They also cut in and out...It is annoying when the picture cuts in and out for a couple of seconds while watching a movie. Pretty disappointing purchase. You can switch the port manually, but it will randomly switch on its own.

While I still use this switch after 5 months (occasional use), I've found that:

Function:
1) It doesn't reliably auto-switch; 2) Not all of the ports work equally well. To avoid frustration when trying to get a signal to output, I don't bother with input #1 anymore. This could be related to problem 1);

Form/Design:
3) The blue LED is pretty bright. If you're in a dark room, you might want to hide or cover the switch. 4) The switch is very light, and feels overall like the budget device that it is.

I'm willing to believe that this is a quality control issue rather than some design flaw, since for the price that wouldn't be surprising. Even though it's just a matter of time before I replace it, I'd still recommend this to anyone who's just looking for a budget 3-port switch. If it cost any more I would rate it 3 stars.
