The fan itself is certainly excellent, but be aware that this product is specified to run at a maximum of 1200 RPM, not 1500 RPM like the fan that comes with the NH-D15S. In my opinion, this fan should have also been 1500 RPM, with the option of using the low noise adapter to lower it to 1200 RPM if we really wanted. Even though Noctua claims that 1200 RPM allows for better balance of performance vs noise, we should still be allowed to choose whether or not we wanted to have it run at 1500 RPM to maximize performance.
So if you are someone that bought the NH-D15S and still want two fans like the NH-D15, you are forced to pay extra for the chromax NF-A15 instead of the standard one, even if you don't care about the colors.
