Product Description

Tess has just discovered sex. And now, she’s about to discover sex as a weapon.

The Seattle barista and art student is happy with her beautiful Brit boyfriend, Ben — especially in the bedroom. But while Ben’s her first, she’s hardly his. And Ben’s sexual history seems to be popping up in Tess’s face like something out of a zombie movie, and it has her questioning his commitment — and questioning whether his appealing alpha maleness is just a cover for a controlling personality.

Maybe one that’s meant to keep her from asking too many questions.

Is Ben the problem, or is everybody from his past the problem?

Tess is asking the questions, and pushing hard for answers.

Is Nicole, the ex-fiancé who cheated on Ben, trying to worm her way back into his life? Was there something between Ben and Tess’s best friend, Erin? Or what’s going on with Ben’s adored teenage sister, Caroline, and Ben’s best friend Dan? And how did Ben get Tess a job interview with Mr. Andrews, his sophisticated but slimy boss at the music magazine?

As Tess comes to learn, relationships — especially sexual ones — are as much about power as love. With each new discovery, she finds herself in a struggle to hold her head together as much as her heart.

And to find where her own power lies.

HASH(0xb418c828) out of 5 stars Private Show Feb. 15 2014
By Ava Renee - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I LOVE this series, the story, the characters and the writing. But the ending PISSED ME OFF! It's still a great read that all fans of the genre will enjoy. All ends from the start of the series are covered as a good series should be done. Definitely not a stand alone read. You have got to read book one (Private Message) to truly understand and appreciate the relationship growth, etc. So be sure to do that before reading Private Show.

Ben and Tess have come a long way. More ups than downs, but those downs are real bummers. Luckily they're both patient and trustworthy people that actually SEE truth, what's real and what's not. They both also know that what's from the past is just that, past and best left there. We get to see this couple grow even more in this book. But of course not without a bit of drama and jealousy from those that just can't help themselves but be stupid fools *sigh*

I look forward to much more from this author in the very near future. Love her writing style, her characters and all around everything...

I was given a ARC for my honest review.

I want to say a few things before I get into the actual review process.
First Danielle I am so proud of you, as a writer you have grown and this book is more amazing than Private Message. You will be able to read what I am talking about folks. And what I love most is that if you know Danielle at all, you will feel her presence in this book. That is one thing I love most about this book and Danielle.

Let's get to this review, shall we?

It starts off shortly after where book 1 leaves off. From the very start you have a good time and are sucked into this book. Tess and Eric are a riot together and I love them, I love how she interacts with her mother. That is how a mother and daughter relationship should be. Tess is my top two favorite female character roles in all of book world. She is strong, she doesn't take no crap, she is feisty, she goes after what she wants, she is brave, isn't scared to be differen't, she pushes that envelope and she should be a role model for all women and younger girls. And she is a role model for me, I'm differen't. I love how she isn't like most book leading ladies. She is differen't and Danielle knows from experience, she has lived it. She is not just writing about it. you can feel it come through in this book. I just love Tess to pieces. Ben, what can I say about Ben? the man does no wrong, seriously. these two are adorable, sweet, funny, and SEXY (WARNING keep extra panties handy or hubby ;-) seriously these sex scenes were vamped and juiced up. I loved every second. That Ben is kinky and ready to go. And he is British, I love British men. And he is sweet and caring and loves Tess. There is a twist in the book where I get a TINY bit angry with him, but he more than makes up for it at the end. What would a book be without a tiny bit of drama? I loved having James in the book, he makes me laugh. Such a great big brother. Loved getting to know Caroline(Ben's baby sister) she is a sweetheart and I only hope the best for her. Erin I simply adore, she has some drama of her own this book too. She is fiery and I just love her to pieces. And any book that automatically quotes Twilight or has Edward Cullen in it automatically gets a top vote in my book ;-) The end of the book was epic and I love Ben even more than I did from the start, and you will also! I can't give much more away, but you will have to read this amazing book and find out. I think everyone needs to read this book. AMAZING!
Well done Danielle! Very proud.
It does leave off on a TINY cliffy (which does not take away from the book or ruin anything, I'm sure everyone can find books to keep them busy while waiting, I know I can ;-) . And I am sooo excited for the next one!!

Some quotes I loved:

"I have never been one to need to be trusted. With you I need it. I need you to want to trust me and to fully trust me. You have me and no other woman can have that. I trust you. You can trust me with your heart. Please?"

"You know what it's like to have a sister...now"

"I know of a couple of other things that taste even more brilliant and you can't get it in a fancy glass."

"Well I am glad this is the kind of stuff that impresses you and not diamonds or furs."
"Those things are okay, but give me coffee and candy any day and I will be yours forever."

"There. There's my Punky."

"Nah, I think you're good. Edward has nothing on my Bond."

"I miss you too. I want you so bad right now. Just holding you fills me with all the hope and love in the world. I love you Tess, goodnight."

"What?was my phone call more interesting than the Volturi?"

"Because my future is looking more beautiful with every passing day and I don't want you to ever doubt it again."

"It is a big deal, to me anyways. I want to celebrate the day you were born...it is when fate brought you into this world...for me..."

"Don't you know it by now Tess? You are my permanent."

"You are my world. You are my life. You are my permanent. I love you more than what words can describe."

"Never. You are my permanent too Ben."
HASH(0xb41be804) out of 5 stars Private Show Review Feb. 23 2014
By Jackie's Book Reviews - Published on Amazon.com

Private Show is the continuation of Private Message by Danielle Torella. I highly recommend reading Message first because you will see how the main characters Tess and Ben have grown into Show.

Now for my review: I read these two books together because I was given and ARC from the author for an honest review and she also included the first book if you did not read it. So for me I have to say that I didn't have the wait in between seeing how the continuation of book two was going to pan out. Private Show takes off where book one leaves off. What I did enjoy about this book was how Ben and Tess's characters grow. The author did a great job in the writing of this book.

Then we have some twists and turns in the book that she included which I found to be a great addition. While Ben was Tess's first sexual encounter Tess was not Ben's and it shows up more so in this book. Also we now have Nicole Ben's exfinance who cheated on Ben and is now back in the picture trying to weasel her way into Ben's life again.
Is Tess going to stand for this crap, you will see.

We also get a better storyline on James Tess's older brother and Caroline Tess's bestfriend and Ben's sister...got that. While reading this series you really can't help with falling in love with these two Ben and Tess.

I was given an ARC of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. The continuation of Ben and Tess’s story was one of my favorite reads of the year. The relationship between the Brit and his pink haired love, that we first met in Private Message. is pretty solid. Ben and Tess are sexy, romantic and fun. They both feel pretty secure in their relationship until Ben’s sexual past starts popping up all over the place. This leaves Tess to feel jealous and insignificant at times. Private Show is a realistic look into their lives that picks right up from the last book. If you read Private Message first, you will see the growth not only in these characters but also in the writing. I loved Ben and Tess. I feel as if they are people I would know and hang out with. Tess doesn’t give up her individuality and Ben obviously adores her for that. Now what I didn’t like- Nicole. I wanted to jack slap this broad so many times. Special names are reserved for characters like her. My thoughts are all over the place as I write this review because I am trying to express how much I loved this book. I promise that you will not be able to put it down. As much as I adored Private Message, this is the book that has made me a Danielle Torella fan for life.

4.5 out of 5 stars.

Private Show picks up where Private Message, book 1 ends. Tess and Ben's relationship is continuing to grow, but she still cannot fully trust him. It seems that he is always getting texts or phone calls that he refuses to answer when he is with her and he is secretive. The one thing that has gotten crazier is the amount of sex that these two can have. It is like that is all that Tess can think about, sex and her coffee. I am trying not to be a downer here. This is a fairly cute story. That in the end works out for the best. But I have to be honest here and say, that it lacked the maturity, for the age of the characters, there where conversations that were had between main and secondary characters that no one would have, when the meet for the first time. The editing needs work and Ben, needed to be more open and honest with Tess. I get that his past has come back to bite him in the ass, but hell, say what needs to be said, don't drag it out. I realize that I am probably the first and only person to give it a 3.5 star review. And I am not going to apologize for it. I can only hope that this helps the Author to grow and develop more with the next book in the series. I will read book 3. I do recommend both books in this series. This one just was not my cup of tea.
