My first book by this author and it was very sweet, cute and clean. This comedy story is about animals and their shenanigans. The romance part of the story started out slow. Amelia hates her job as a legal secretary. She is currently taking care of her ex boyfriends pug. The beginning chapters of this book is more about the bad behaviour of the dog. The romance starts much further in and happens very slowly. An enjoyable read. I voluntarily received an arc of this book.

This is a great book and bares well for the new series. Wonderful characters, funny situation, laugh-out-loud moments and a sweet romance. Can you ask for anything more? This is a well written book full of creativity and character. The characters put the reader on an emotional rollercoaster as they come to terms with what they desire by overcoming their fears and insecurities. I became so involved in the book I could not put it down. If you like cosy romances with furry friends involved then you can’t go wrong with this one.

It was OKReviewed in the United Kingdom on March 25, 2020
I didn't make it to the end of this story, without wanting to shake the main character who was just too dopey for words in places! Sadly, this book does not make me want to try Love & Pets book 2
Easy readReviewed in the United Kingdom on February 24, 2020
A good read even if you're not an animal lover, though it would help!! Not a long book but different themes run through it, door mat, death, family, doing what makes you happy etc.

A sweet story revolving around a put. Some sad moments especially at the beginning. Not many laugh out loud moments which I was hoping for, but still a nice story.

Loved Doug the pug. Amelia and her boyfriend split and she got to keep Doug. Poor Doug was pining for his ex master and was misbehaving a bit. The characters were interesting and made an excellent story.

Such an easy fun read! Poor pug Doug has separation anxiety and all his shenanigans to get attention are just adorable! Such lovely characters.
