HASH(0x9b2fd018) out of 5 stars Straight to the point, for professionals Feb. 21 2011
By Allan Evans - Published on
Format: Paperback
As a professional who has to find quick solutions on a daily basis, I can say that this book is full of excellent, well-documented examples that I can put to immediate use. The sample code alone is worth the price of admission, and its organized by SDK version, something I have not seen in other books that makes it simple for beginner and seasoned pro alike to use.
HASH(0x9b2fd054) out of 5 stars A Great Reference for Budding App Developers Sept. 27 2011
By j - Published on
Format: Paperback
I bought this book, along with many others, to learn to create iOS apps. This was a daunting task since I had little programming experience at the time. As I read book after book and still was not getting very far. I was getting discouraged until I came to this book. The material presented and the code examples are easily understood and implemented. Now I have produced 3 apps and am already working with the new iOS 5. This book is AMAZING!
HASH(0x9bdcad28) out of 5 stars One of the best books on this topic I have come across April 2 2013

Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
One of the best books on this topic I have come across. Well written with plenty of examples. It includes only text, commentary, that is needed and no more.

Format: Paperback
This book was very easy to follow, and is packed with great examples. Designed for the professional, not new programmers.

HASH(0x9bb00840) out of 5 stars Very poor contents Feb. 20 2011
By L. Mihalkovic - Published on
Format: Paperback
I bought the kindle version of this book on the title alone, without glancing inside. I find the contents to not match the 'professional' qualifier in the title. The idea of presenting diff screenshots is quite innovative, but offset by having to browse through many pages of code (quite difficult on a small screen). Altogether I did not care for the format (too much code compared to the writing, difficult to find what is done where) or the contents (more recipes than explanations, basic examples).
