If you love contemporary romance with a touch of humor…

A high-flying career woman with no time for romance finds herself at a loose end for her company's annual marketing convention. Partners are encouraged, and Nadine Stefano has every intention of fitting the image she believes her boss wants.
At her sister's recent bachelorette party Nadine finds herself irresistibly drawn to Ethan, one of the male strippers.
A single woman, desperate to present the image of being in a settled and happy relationship, she hires Ethan to act as her pretend boyfriend.

Not only is he five years younger, but he is also sexy as sin.

Theirs is a strong attraction, and the over-worked and uptight Nadine soon finds herself falling for the easy-going young man.

But company politics and nasty colleagues stand in their way.
Will they follow their hearts, despite their differences, or will Nadine dump Ethan in order to pursue her career goals?

Aside from some minor grammatical errors, this book was written quite well. I love the flow of the book and the passion between Nadine and Ethan. The actual plot is a typical one, but cute none the less.

I'm not one for romance, but this one wasn't too bad. It was definitely an interesting read with a good storyline. I look froward to reading more from this author!

HASH(0x9e8b8df8) out of 5 stars Writer has potential. A good editor will help. April 19 2013
By Mindy - Published on Amazon.com

This book was a quick read. I didn't get bored part of the way through and I did connect with the characters. Connecting with characters is always the most important aspect of a good book in my opinion. However, there were some issues that did bother me while reading through the book.

1. The characters are living in San Francisco. As far as I can tell from their background, these people are American. So why am I seeing British vocab in the book? American people do not ring people, they call people. They have cookies, not biscuit and I have never heard an American say "whilst." This was something that brought me out of the story when I noticed those inconsistencies. If you are writing characters in America, use the American vocab.

2. There were errors with word usage as well as sentences that didn't make sense at all.

3. The ending was too abrupt. It tied up neatly but it didn't feel right because I wanted to know more. A quick 6 months down the road blurb would have done wonders to complete the story.

A good editor would be able to note all of these issues and help the author to write some great stories.

HASH(0x9e8b8cd8) out of 5 stars Oh, dear... Jan. 30 2013
By eBook Addict - Published on Amazon.com

I'm a bit surprised this isn't a first effort; yet, according to another reviewer, the writer has previous works. While the premise is good, the writing is littered with basic errors that make it very difficult to immerse yourself in the storyline. At the start of the story, it's quite apparent the main character's sister was originally called 'Amy', but the writer then gave that name to her best friend and called her 'Kiera', instead. No biggie, except she hasn't made the switch complete, so that sometimes you have 'Kiera' interacting with herself or in a place she couldn't possibly be, given previous information, because it's meant to be Amy. Annoying.

The worst thing about this story, however, is that the writer commits a very basic error of technique in that she switches between points of view as the main characters are interacting. Very confusing and a very novice mistake. Add in the various commas that are sometimes ill-placed and, for me, it was just too distracting. I couldn't venture beyond the fourth chapter.

I recommend a good editor provide assistance, post-haste, before the author tries to charge for this one.

HASH(0x9e8b860c) out of 5 stars Fun, quick read Feb. 28 2013
By Casey Fox - Published on Amazon.com

The book was fun to read, but there is an abundance of spelling and grammatical errors. Sometimes this made it extremely difficult to maintain a good pace to read by. There are words missing in some sentences, leaving the reader to guess what the author is trying to convey. These are simple fixes that should have been caught by the editor and turned me off a bit.

HASH(0x9e8b0ca8) out of 5 stars Not the 1st, but the middle of The Proposal! May 8 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I liked the book. Good characters, fun story, but this is the middle of the story! There's a prequel and the ending! I felt kind of cheated. Who wants to read the middle only to find out, oh by the way there's really another beginning and an end! Otherwise would be 5 stars.

I had to delete it after the first ten pages. There were so many grammar errors, and errors in writing form, that it was irritating to try and read. If you are an avid reader, and educated, this book is not for you. Thank goodness it was free.
