Product Description

In the old world shadows of Providence, Rhode Island, Nina Grey finds herself the center of a war between Hell and Earth.

Struggling with her father’s recent death, Nina meets Jared Ryel by chance…or so she believes. Although his stunning good looks and mysterious talents are a welcome distraction, it soon becomes clear that Jared knows more about Nina than even her friends at Brown University. When questions outnumber answers, Jared risks everything to keep the woman he was born to save—by sharing the secret he was sworn to protect.

When her father’s former associates begin following her in the dark, Nina learns that her father is not the man she thought he was, but a thief who stole from demons. Searching for the truth behind her father’s death, Nina stumbles upon something she never expected—something Hell wants—and only she holds the key.

I read Jamie McGuire's "Beautiful Disaster" and absolutely loved it. So I picked this up because I loved how the author gets you to feel the emotions of the characters and really gets you invested in their story. Providence was not as good, but it was still a great read with great characters. Jared is another Male lead that is sexy and protective and is head over heels in love. He would do anything for Nina, including staying away. At times you will get frustrated with Nina and her choices, but in the end it all comes together. I am curious to read the next book in this series and see where it goes.

i completely enjoyed the entire trilogy...it gripped me till the end... hats off to the author who rode her imaginations to the highest... so many angels and demons.. all on one platform.. saving and fighting humans.. i dont know if there is a movie for this series or not, but if there is, i'm sure it would be REALLY rocking!

I read beautiful disaster which I absolutely loved, which led me to look for other books by the same author and stumbled upon this. I like her writing style and looked forward to my reading time before bed everynight but it's not my favorite book out there. I found Jareds character to be pretty dry and the main character lacked a little bit of personality. Which was pretty disapointing because the characters in beautiful disaster are so vibrant and well written.

Felt like Beautiful Disaster meets Hush, Hush.
It dragged a bit but in the end I really liked it. I have. I went in blind, which I highly recommend, I had NO IDEA what this was about other than college life. Do yourself a favour, DONT read he reviews. If u like Jamie MacGuire, read it.
I laughed and wanted to yell at Nina so many times (total Abby Abernathy complex) and I teared up too. I think this will be a great series, I'm interested to see where it all goes.
Jared... GOD he was soooo tortured and lonely I just loved him. BUT I also loved Ryan in all his sweet and honest & genuine loving glory. These kinds of triangles kill me cuz they are BOTH such great guys.
Good stuff, on to the next!

I have to admit this was one of those books i picked up because i loved what else Jamie McGuire had written. And I am SUPER HAPPY i did! This book blew every expectation i had out of the water! Not only did Jamie McGuire create characters that were both unique and relatable but the story line itself was AMAZING!

If you love a good sorted romance, with a twist of paranormal influence then this is a must read. It is not just a love story but a story that shows us - what seems wrong is sometimes the only thing that is right and that we should always follow out hearts!!
