Hardy's memoir about his spiritual enlightenment is a beautiful narrative. I travelled with him on his ship The Lady. The writing is descriptive creating a vision in the reader's mind so that you feel like you are there with him.
His description of coming to realize his Soul / Self is like being on a drug induced mega-aware trip.
This is a book that is part relaxation part challenging to your state of being. It is a great value especially in these confusing and scary times.

D. Robert Hardy's Raven's Apprentice is a compelling read that takes you from the southern tip of Vancouver Island in Victoria to beyond Port Hardy, and into the Queen Charlotte Strait; and all by boat. Hardy has captured not only the scenic beauty and majesty of the coastline; his is a retelling of a rugged adventure, a spiritual journey, and a return to a way of life uncommon to our highly-mobile human highway.
