A Christian teen and new adult fiction novel by Amazon bestselling author Dayo Benson

Lexi Dixon is in L.A. The guys are hot, the girls are chic, and her modelling career is taking off. The road to stardom is just a matter of less pizza and better posing—she’ll be there in no time!

But behind the designer clothes and the runway shows lies a very real pain that Lexi is powerless to overcome by herself. And a girl in pain makes very bad decisions when she's around hot guys who drive flashy cars.

It's only a matter of time before the perfect life she's trying to build comes crashing down...

HASH(0x98ffbc6c) out of 5 stars Great Series March 14 2012

I have to admit that I purchased this book because it was in the Christian Fiction section, and it was only .99. Having said that, I have to say that I purchased the next two books in the series because I HAD to know what happened! I appreciate the way that the characters screwed up, made mistakes, and made stupid decisions even after they became a Christian. That's real was refreshing to see that the writer didn't make everything magically better after a character found Jesus.

I really liked this book, even tho its age range is teens, a little young for my taste. she really keeps you hanging at the end. Its got so many up and down that you want to scearm at times. Over all a great book.

I did buy the other two books in the series so we will see how the series ends.

HASH(0x98ffbe7c) out of 5 stars Sadly Disappointed Sept. 24 2012

I was sadly disaapointed in this christain novel. The characters are shallow and confusing. I was hoping for some redemption but got to the end and found out I had to buy two more books to see what was next. It ended on a very sorry note. This was so depressing..none of the characters were rewarding.. The portrayal of the christians was weak.. or they were weak. Did these people never learn anything along the way? There was no remorse at their actions. I was also very disappointed at the way she portrayed of the only catholic in the book. The writer absolutely did not do her homework. There would not hav been a church marriage as catholics have to go to a "pre-Cana" class for about 6 weeks before they can get married in the church. The only catholic character was a slime..and was never shown to be a christain..HOWEVER>> CATHOLICS ARE CHRISTIANS>> they believe that Jesus is the Lord and Savior and believe in the TRIUNE god..the two qualifications for christians. I will neverr read another book by this author.

HASH(0x98ffc18c) out of 5 stars Hard read June 30 2012

'Raw Deal' is a story of an american teenage girl, Lexi Dixon, who lived and loved life back in Europe. But the sudden death of her father made it necessary for her mother and her to return to the States. While trying to fit in she meats a 'hot' guy, Jace, who she really likes. However, their relationship doesn't seem to work out. When Lexi leaves high school for college, she is determined to forget everything about Jace. But college brings in even more problems...

This book brings up very important issues that teenage girls need to know about. It's pretty hard read. I wouldn't recommend it to girls under the age of about 18.

Lexi sees how friends' lives change when they accept Christ. But is she ready for the change?

This book and the rest of the series don't really center on God. Also, there are some not-so-pretty to say the least, scenes.

60+ chapters and there is no ending! What a waste of my time. I won't be reading the next book.
