So THIS is what a real gaming chair feels like!
First up, let's get the price dealt with. It's a big issue as most of us don't have an extra 800 bucks lying around. I was fortunate to get this on sale for $500CAD. The price gets dropped regularly. As I write this edit, Dec 12th, it is back to what I paid for it. So, seems you don't have to wait too long for a sale. I gave it 5 stars for value based on the sale price. At $788, the currently listed price; I don't know. I mean, it's a really great chair but at almost $800CAD plus tax, I'd have a hard time paying that much. Of course, if the money isn't an issue, yeah. I'd be all over this.Anyways, it is a great chair. Hands down the best I have ever had. It comes in a HUGE box and it is HEAVY! I'm not going to repeat everything that's already in the description but I can confirm that it is made of some heavy duty materials that were made to last.Assembly took about an hour by myself. Mostly because it is heavy and tricky to manipulate into position by yourself so I wanted to take my time so as not to do something stupid like poke a hole in it or tear the seat. Lining the bolts for the back was a bit annoying as they don't line up easily when doing it by yourself. It's not that they aren't in the right place, it's just again a matter of being really heavy and having to keep it in place while you attach the 6 bolts (4 to attach it to the frame, 2 to attach the covers for each side)The lever for the lumbar support didn't work at first. It's on what I would compare to the brake cable on your mountain bike. It needs adjusting to get it at the right tension to work properly. I've seen a lot of people complaining about it and saying it broke. I can pretty much guarantee that in most of those cases, it was because the person just kept pulling on the handle or never bothered to check the YouTube video provided that shows you how to adjust the tension. It's easy to attach to the seat via a quick release if you need to adjust it more. The real test was sitting my butt down and getting after it. First thing I noticed is It is incredibly firm. I thought maybe it would be uncomfortable but 2 hours of iRacing later, my butt and more importantly, my back wasn't feeling like it did when I did the same time in my old $399 Serta chair that was supposed to have great lumbar support etc but really didn't. I am not a small dude at 5'11" and 240lbs. I have broad shoulders and not exactly a tiny waist lol. My thighs are also pretty hefty and that being said, the chair fit me perfectly. The curvature of the upper shoulder area, the lower back, and the seat all sat exactly where they should without any poking or discomfort.Razer's lumbar support is far more advanced than most chairs that just have some adjustable bump that pushes into your lower back. It's a...plate....for lack of a better word, that moves outwards and supports a large area of your lower back. I am plagued by L3-L5 damage and my Serta chair made it worse. I have put in some long sessions, 6 hrs for instance, and not had any pain in my back OR in my butt. So, I can attest to the quality of the lumbar support without hesitation.I have seen people complain that they don't like the upright sides of the seat because their thighs were sore after so I can only assume that since my pudgy legs fit comfortably, that maybe the X XL would have been better for them. I love that my legs are held in place when racing for hours and because there's some extra room I rolled up a small towel and put it between my left thigh and the seat edge to make it even more of a snug fit. When you're braking, accelerating and steering hundreds of times a race, you don't want to have to clench your legs together to keep your feet in the optimal position for left foot braking and hitting the throttle. That takes a lot of the discomfort I would feel in my other chair completely out of the equation. The lumbar support is amazing. The difference I felt at the end of the night after about 5 hours of racing, was so noticeable. Usually I'd get up, make some Dad noises while doing so, and then spend half an hour getting back to normal. Now, it's not like that at all. The almost infinite ways you can adjust the lumbar support, back angle, seat angle and height, will get you exactly where you need to be. You need to take your time and fine tune it to your preference. It took me a few races before I had it perfect for my taste. While you may think it's too firm, unless you're super light, you'll notice that the high density foam actually form fits your bottom and thighs just the right amount to make your seated position perfect for your body type. I don't have to use memory foam cushions any more.I don't have long legs so at first it felt too high (even set at the lowest position) for racing, so I just swapped out the wheels with the ones from my older chair as they are a bit smaller and it was enough to give me the position I need for racing. I spent a couple hours playing Division 2 and it was really nice not having to get up and adjust a bunch of extra cushions every few minutes. I was perfectly seated and totally comfy. Most importantly, my back and butt weren't sore at any point. It's not cheap, but it's well built, very ergonomic, and the difference between this and my other chair extremely noticeable. I'm really happy I bought this. It's expensive because its a quality, high end piece of gear and made to last. Easy to recommend to any gamer looking for THE chair.*note: While I am a Vine Voice reviewer, this was a personal purchase, paid for with my own money. So, no I'm not giving it a good review for other reasons. It is a great freakin' chair.

I bought the regular sized Fabric Iskur initially and was disappointed. I'm 6 feet tall, 180 lbs and the bolstering on the seat constricted my thighs to a point that made it difficult to sit naturally and comfortably. It basically limits you to having to sit with your knees very close together. The seat cushion itself is very hard to the point were it can leave your butt numb at times.

The solution was to get the XL version. The seat bolstering is nice and wide, thighs are not constricted. The seat cushion is nice and soft (possible helped by the seat being able to go lower than regular sized Iskur). Overall it's more sturdy too, the arm rests snap into place with an audible click when making changes unlike the regular Iskur.

I got my on sale for $200 off, it's an expensive chair but my advice is to avoid the regular sized chair unless you are relatively small. Buy the XL version, it is totally superior. From what I've seen, they really should label the XL version the regular size. The regular size should be relabeled as the smaller size, it's very small.

Incredible gaming chair! I have owned this chair for roughly about 2 years and havent had a single issue with it. The finish and fabric is still as good as it was on the day I assembled it. Lumbar support still moves freely and the butt grove has hardly left a noticeable dent haha.

If you can find this on a deal as I did I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to make a purchase that will last years to come. If you are someone who likes to "upgrade" or change things out all the time maybe go for some cheaper option.

I have wanted the grey fabric version of this chair for months, and it went on sale from CAD$800 to CAD$649 and I bit the bullet. It is well made, as lovely as it looks in the ads, but it was meant for looking at and not for sitting in!

First, I am 5'4" and I can put my feet flat on the ground on its lowest setting. That is perfect, until we get to the lumbar support below. It is definitely made for someone with a longer torso, as he head cushion is only going to hit the top of my head if I use it. But that's ok because you kind of feel like you're in one of those rounded chairs from the 70s. I worried I would feel pushed forward if my head doesnt sit right and that is not the case.

The problems are the seat and the "adjustible" lumbar support. The seat is like sitting on a concrete bench. I don't know what else to say. It is very, very, very firm. You do not get that sense of comfort when you first sit down which goes away over time. It is uncomfortable when you sit on it and then painful after a few hours. I tried a gel pad but then I am too high off the ground to put my feet flush. (Also didn't really buy an $800 dollar chair to have to use add ons to make it useable).

"Adjustible" is not the right word for the lumbar support. The panel is one piece on an extendable arm. So if you want the curved support further up your back than it would be in its initial position, the arm just starts pushing the bottom of this panel up on a 45 degree arc and you stop when it is where you wan tit. But then to use it, you are pushed forward in the chair. So you get lumbar support but no other back support or use of the head rest etc. and the seat pan is not long enough for you to be pushed forward by several inches and still use it comfortably so you'd better hope you only need a small adjustment. I should have looked into this before buying. I assumed from the word adjustible and the ads I have seen that it moved up and down, not in and out.

Wanted this for a while... coveted it from afar... now wish I had saved my money. I'd like to try to figure out how to take it apart so that it fits back in the box so I can send it back, but am not optimistic I will be able to do so!

5.0 out of 5 stars No Squeak & Surprisingly Comfortable

Wanted an office chair that didn't squeak or moan, and after a week of use this chair is perfect! No noises at all.

Surprised by: (1) how well made/sturdy/mostly made of metal, nothing cheap about this chair, (2) 8 screws total/great large printed instructions/8 steps, (3) Three tilting adjustments for the seat alone and four adjustments for the arm rests, and (4) I'm 5'8" 160 lbs and the lumbar support is perfect for me and the rest of the chair oddly fits my frame perfectly (not exaggerating).

Really surprised by: (1) the seat has an edge that basically hold your legs in or it is possible to exert a lot of pressure, outwards, with you legs against the cushioned-edge of the seat which for gaming keeps me in the seat, (2) how adjustable the seat/height/arm-rest are, when I say unlimited it's sort of true; I keep making fine tuned adjustments and I've never had such few problems sitting in a chair or getting out of one i.e. a couch is either too low or saggy or too cushiony and getting out of one leaves me feeling sore at different parts of my body, and (3) the pedestal is awesome, this chair sits on tile and all other chair get caught on the hills/valleys of tiles--not this chair, it rolls absolutely flat

Complaint: (1) heavier people might find the seat too hard over long periods of time (2) it is a large chair, at 5'8" the top of the chair almost comes up to my chin, that's not bad, it is that this chair has a lot of mass and takes up space (for anyone with those concerns).

I would definitely buy this chair again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good quality chair - good for tall people - 1 year update
Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2021
Colour Name: Black/GreenSize: X-LargeStyle: IskurPattern Name: ChairVerified Purchase
1 year UPDATE! I still LOVE this chair. I use it 8+ hours a day as I work from home. There have been no issues and everything is holding up fine. This chair will last for many years!!

WOW - I just assembled this chair and I am very impressed. Full Disclosure, I purchased with my own money and have no affiliation with Razer and am NOT being compensated.

I am 6'3 and weigh 180 pounds, so fairly skinny. I have had several chairs over the last years, office chairs, gaming chairs, $100-150 range. They all are basically cheap quality and after a few months or a year, you need to look for a new chair. I wanted to get something that is going to last and most importantly be good quality and have good back support.

THIS is the KILLER chair. I got the Iskur XL, because I am tall. It was on sale on Black Friday. I have included pictures of the components, that I believe demonstrate quality. You can see plenty of other pictures of the chair itself. You will notice details like the bolts have a threadlocker (green for Razer) on them. This detail is important. Once you tighten these bolts, they should not work themselves loose. Cheap chairs the bolts constantly come loose. Razer includes a T handle allen wrench. This is a good wrench and makes the assembly so much more enjoyable. The chair lifts is Class 4, most cheaper chairs use a Class 3 lift, which if you haven't found out, they fail easily and then your chair will not maintain its vertical height. I weighed the lift and it was 2.6 pounds. This is a quality lift! The main chair bracket is heavy and durable as well.

The total weight of this chair delivered is OVER 75 pounds. There are a few pounds packaging, but the chair itself is quality and heavy. The base spider is metal and good quality. The arm wrests are beefy and strong.

Being 6'3, most chairs do not raise high enough for me. This chair can actually go HIGHER than I need it. I have it about 70% of the way up. So if you are taller, you can still raise it more. If I have it all the way up my toes can touch the ground, but I can not sit with flat feet.

The assembly of the chair is pretty easy. About 7 bolts and fitting a few pieces. It took roughly 20 minutes and I think anyone can do it. Only tool needed is the T handle wrench included. They have a GIANT instruction page (3 foot by 3 foot) which is very good. PRO TIP for assembly: Not in the instructions - You should put grease in both holes where the lift goes (spider and bottom of chair). That way if you ever need to remove the lift, it will come out much easier. This grease will also prevent any squeaking from that area.

The lumbar support on this chair is adjustable, and let me tell you it is AWESOME. I generally have it pushed all the way out, then sit in the chair and release the lever and lean back to a comfortable spot and lock the position of the lumbar support. My wife tried this chair as well and was very impressed with the back support.

Arm wrests adjust up/down/front/back/in/out/twist. Incredible adjustments.

The only thing I don't like about the chair is the lever to recline the back. In my opinion, that lever should be a bit longer, for more leverage. It is usable and works, but I found myself struggling at first. You need to pull the lever all the way to release. If you pull only half way it does not release. Anyone can do this, even those with small arms, just a minor improvement they could make to extend the lever and give more leverage.

The head pillow is nice and is in a good position for me. When I sit in the chair I have about 1.5 inches space on each outside of my legs where the edges of the chair rise up. My legs do not touch those sides. So I feel that if you are heavier, you would still be able to comfortable fit. As a rough guide, my thigh measurement (circumfrance 1 leg) is 24 inches at the middle of the seat position. I have large thighs from biking.

I love this quality chair and I think other tall people will as well. I did look at Secret Labs chairs, but I wanted to be able to return the chair for free and without hassle if I did not like, and Secret Labs does not have that option. Amazon for the win here. I will not return THIS chair. Very fair price for a VERY good quality chair!

I've always said that chairs are like pillows - everyone is going to have a different opinion on what is good and what feels right to them based on their preference. I'm always nervous when I buy a new chair because you almost have to sit in it at home, at your desk to see if works for you.

The Iksur XL went on a sale at a price I couldn't pass up and decided to give it a go. First of all, I was extremely impressed by the packaging. Everything was packed incredibly well with foam and there were tons of inserts in the box that made it feel like a special purpose. Absolutely top notch packaging.

Installation was straight forward like any other chair with the one exception being a cable that controls the lumbar support which was a new one for me. Other than that, it's just a few scrolls and attaching the base. Very straight forward.

The big question...how does it feel? I'm not a big guy but based on reviews, I saw most people recommend the XL just to give you a little more seating room and I'm glad I did. Since this is a racing chair, you have boxed in sides and that might be uncomfortable to some. The XL gives you a bit more seating room. It's definitely a firm seat but I still think it's fairly comfortable and feels like it will hold up unlike the softer seats that will just get flat over time.

The arms are interesting and almost feel overengineered. You can pull them inward, outward, up and down and even twist them inwards. There are a lot of options and while they are nice, I hope it holds up over time.

The big feature I'd say is the lumbar support. There is an extra lever that will actually push out (or pull in) the lumbar area. Considering most chairs have little to no lumbar support, it does take some time to get used to but now that I've had the chair for a bit, I can't imagine not having it. It contours perfectly to my back and where I would slouch and lean back in my old chair, the Iskur makes me want to sit up straight with my feet on the ground. The natural seating position is just as comfortable with the lumbar support as slouching in my old chair.

As for cons, it's mostly nitpicks. I've noticed the fabric on the seat is randomly wrinkled when I get up despite it being stitched pretty tight. It's not a big deal but we'll have to see how it holds up over time.

It's not so much a con but worth noting is that the seat sits pretty tall. I have it on the bottom setting and it's almost too far for my desk. I with the base was a little more spread out to be lower to the ground. If you have a short desk, it could be a problem. It works for mine but barely.

Overall, it's a very solid chair so far with the big feature being the lumbar support. If you are a fan of racing chairs, this one is very much worth consideration.
