My favorite chapter is the one on awareness, especially the meditation exercise, which I am now regularly practicing and which totally balances me and all the stress of the day just goes away. I also really enjoyed the part about the ancient Hawaiian technique of blessings and am doing this constantly - life is so much better now! There are my two favorites but I loved it all.
It's a six star book.
"Filled with the wisdom of the ages, "Read Me - I Am Magical" is geared toward those embarking on a journey of personal growth. Alinka Rutkowska gifts us with essential life lessons to connect us to our inner potential and our ability to create a conscious life. This book walks the reader through a series of practical - yet powerful - steps designed to open the doorway to more insight, unconditional love, and genuine happiness in your life.

This is a topic that is relevant for virtually all of us. Rutkowska takes a unique and practical approach to taking control of your own attitude and ultimately your own life. And none of us can afford to stop learning how to do that.

Alinka Rutkowska's book is a remarkable feat. Rutkowska dwells on what is positive in our lives - beauty, kindness, generosity, honesty, love, etc. But in the real world one has to face also ugliness, cruelty, selfishness, greed, deceit and hate. Does Rutkowska have a prescription for happiness in the real world?

and I applaud it too, plus LOVE the subliminal message!
If you are searching to acquire literature regarding the concepts of the LAW OF ATTRACTION and of self awareness, then do not be fooled by this title.
I strongly suggest for you to invest your time and money upon another book and pass over this predictable literary disaster.
The editor seeks to mask the author's lack of overall knowledge regarding the subject matter.
The publisher and editor attempt to pointlessly expand the flimsy content of this book so they can justify its price point.
Why and how anyone supposedly informed upon a topic has the need to obtain references from an unreliable public source such as Wikipedia is beyond comprehension.
It is as if the publisher informed this author to urgently increase the overall page count prior to publishing the book.
The author drones endlessly upon certain topics that provide no informative substance to the readers.
She awkwardly touches upon subjects such as subliminal advertising with all the flair and literary fluency of a first year University marketing student.
The editor has even placed a very evident and awkward display of subliminal advertising upon each page of the book; you will notice the word "Love" (as in please Love my Book) placed upon each and every page of the this book in the form of an animated caricature.
There are far more informative books currently out on the market that do not talk down to their readers, maybe the author should read them prior to trying to write a sequel to this one.

This book however is one of the worse I've read. It was written as though the author was in a hurry. If you know or understand the concept of positive thinking, then this book isn't going to open your eyes much. If I could give it half a star I would.
The book goes into too much detail explaining what love and meditation is - some with Wikipedia references! I couldn't believe a published author would use sources from a platform that anyone can edit. The book is already pretty thin, so she goes on and on about each topic to fatten the book - you know those people who talk a lot but says very little? That was how it felt to read those chapters. But if she wrote it by getting straight to the point, then the book wouldn't be called a book but rather a thin "booklet".
There were lines in there that I've read elsewhere in other books - which really peeved me. If you're going to rehash other people's work, at least do it in your own words.
I would love to get a refund for this book, but after the shipping I've paid to get it here (Australia) and having to ship it back makes it not worth my time. Probably better if I recycled it.
If you want to feel better, I recommend Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, an absolute classic and one you can get for free online (obviously I'm not some competing author). You Were Born Rich by Bob Proctor is good too (which you can get for free online from his site). Or watch "The Secret" because most of what's in this book is covered by The Secret and then some.
If you're completely new to this genre, this book will come in handy. If you're a well seasoned reader to this, then it will be disappointing - especially given the title with exaggerated claims.
It is however not a standard self-help book. It does not imply anything, there are no 'musts' or 'mustn'ts', instead the book awakens the internal powers in the reader and teaches him step by step how to start thinking of himself; of the body and mind as a unique coexistence that needs attention and love to flourish. Most importantly this attention and love should come from the inside first and this is probably the most difficult step to achieve. It is a new kind of selfishness, positive selfishness I would say that leads to being a happier person and better for the others too.
Once this step is reached, you will notice the change immediately. Your life will become much happier, easier in a way, for sure much more pleasurable. People around you would also notice the change. You will hear them say 'what happened to you?; you look so good!; are you in love?'. You will gain calmness and balance and clear perspective on your life.
Many times while reading 'I am magical' I could not help thinking 'Oh yes, that's true, how come?, sure, why haven't I noticed this before?' The book gives you the exercises to do and you would be surprised how simple but accurate they are. The inner power we all have to cure and improve ourselves cannot be underestimated. Nobody knows better than us what we need to start feeling better. Only that sometimes we are not able to listen to ourselves. This book will teach you how to look into yourself and how to listen.
I am an example that this book really works. Now you should give it a try!
Unfortunately, those resources were either very confusing and hard to understand, or just took too much of my time which made me feel like I was wasting my time. I have had several major life challenges/setbacks this year, all hitting within a few months of each other. I was in desperate need of something to uplift me, but I also felt like I wanted to climb back out of a hellish canyon and climb a new mountain at the same time. I was in other words, looking for a new source of life, or a new way of thinking.
After reading a couple books dealing with the law of attraction I was on the Amazon website looking for a third, yet at the same time I felt myself wondering why I was going through the motions of trying to understand something that just was not intuitive in my mind. I somehow got directed to "Read Me-I Am Magical" and of course the title and description caught my attention. I purchased the book, and I have to humbly admit that when it arrived, I wasn't convinced that it was going to do me any good.
I am happy to say that after studying and following the basic meditation techniques, including adding affirmations and visualizations to the meditation time has really had an immediate impact on me. Granted, I have not read much more than the beginning of the book! But just taking time each day to meditate as instructed has really had some sort of positive effect on me. I have meditated for only 4 days and yet each time the experience becomes deeper and more meaningful to me. I don't feel like I'm just "going through the motions," I feel like something very real is starting to happen. The first couple of times were a bit awkward but I followed along, assuming as I practiced more and more it would get easier-like learning to ride a bike. I have now gotten to a point in my meditation time where I feel almost hypnotized; I am fully awake but still in my own little world. I don't need to follow the book for affirmation suggestions anymore, they just come to me as I am meditating. And the great thing is that for several hours after my meditation, I feel quite energetic, and upbeat-sort of like getting a spiritual vitamin shot!
I've hardly delved into the book in depth and yet I'm already a believer. I can't wait to have my meditation time each day and I love the way I feel after. It's very easy, actually. And I don't even use any candles or music or anything other than a quiet place and comfortable loose clothing.
I highly recommend this book to everyone. Just less than a week into reading the book, I am a believer, and I can't wait to see what other surprises are in store as I progress. It's easy to understand, easy to learn from and it's powerful.
I was following the authors' articles for a while through Ezine Articles. When i found out that she'd written a book, i've started to look forward for it. I've recieved the book recently.
When i was reading it, i felt like i had a face-to-face discussion with someone.i was asking the usual questions to myself ,however, this time, i had someone(thing) replying to me.
I think, in the book, she really explains the way to happiness. Once you read it, you ll be suprised to find out how simple it is to feel Good.
