Review of Rebound (The Pentagon Group #1) by Rosemary Rey

4 ½ out of 5 stars

Perla Mercurio is struggling to get her life back on track. Her divorce has left her in a pile of debt. She is working 4 jobs just to pay the bills.

Men are nowhere is her life plan. That is until she meets Dr. Mathias Keene. The gorgeous doctor has awakened feelings she has never felt before. Unfortunately Perla thinks he is way out of her league.

Also having gone through a divorce, Matt is hesitant about relationships as well. However, the beautiful Perla might just be what his heart is looking for.

Perla has her guard up with Matt. She doesn’t believe he could ever be interested in someone like her. To her dismay, she was right.

Matt is full of secrets that destroy what love they may have had between them. Their whole relationship is built on a lie.

I really loved this story. I thought that Perla was a little too whiny at first and needed to loosen up. I really thought Matt was romantic and sweet. Now I am not really sure what to believe. Perla was right in believing that there was something not right with Matt.

The author did an amazing job with this book. I cannot wait to see what happens in book 2. I definitely recommend this book to read.

Loved the book! Impressed by the length and contents. A couple of places in the book made me shake my head, but for the most part it kept me riveted, and up to 2 in the morning wanting to finish it. Seriously contemplating picking up the second book - placed this in my "keep" file on my Kobo!!!

I give this a 5 out of 5 stars.

I was left feeling saddened and upset at the ending of this book. I want to read the next book just to see what happens next though.

Perla was just an average woman going through a rough time trying to get her life back after a divorce and now having to work four jobs to make ends meat. She just wanted to live her life and try to find a way to move forward. She had a few friends but not many. She didn't have a lot of extra fun things to do in her life.

Dr. Mathias Keene was just that a doctor but also had a second life as well. One that was well hidden until someone wanted something he had and set out to destroy it. He has a group of friend that have set up a large corporation that split into several smaller ones to buy out companies.

Perla and Matt started dating at a rather fast pace. It was just a little to fast for Perla but Matt had reassured her that it was all goo and it was rushed but it felt right. He did a lot of things that made Perla feel better about her self after going through a rough divorce. She never thought to much about what Matt did in his life. She knew he was a doctor and that he was a romantic and that he made her feel needed. She was falling for him in a big way. She met his family and his friends. When she first met his friends she was uncomfortable but things got worse and more unsettled with her after a conversation she had over heard in the restroom.

When a handsome looking man came into the gym she worked at and started flirting with her, Perla was taking aback by this. She was just starting out with Matt and didn't want to rock the boat so to speak. But one day after a few months of dating Matt this man came into her office a the gym and explained to her who he was and what he did for a job and where he worked. What he did next would change things for Perla, Matt and everybody else involved. It was something that was not expected or foreseeable.

HASH(0xa0e2ce64) out of 5 stars Holy freaking cow! Wet Panty Alert! May 23 2015
By Tawnya Ward - Published on Amazon.com

Holy cow!

What a twisted turn of events for Perla. To have her life be flipped upside down and spun out of control like that. Then when she is doing all she can to right her life, she's knocked sideways in the worst way possible.

Enter Dr Hottie, Matt, into the mix. Is he too good to be true? Can he really be in love with Perla? Or is he the puppet master in this twisted game? Will he let Perla control their bedroom interactions?

Do these two people let their baser passions control their lives? Will they overcome the dirty business that has been pulling the strings of Perla's life?

Read and find out!

Oh yeah, just a word of wisdom. Be prepared for wet panties!

HASH(0x9dc2fef4) out of 5 stars Recommended For Contemporary Erotic Fans Sept. 7 2014
By Melissa Bell - Published on Amazon.com

I found the story-line interesting, I rolled my eyes a few times and skipped a couple of pages as there seemed to be more sex than story to most chapters. There were some great part, but also bits that I felt could have been removed without affecting the flow of the story. I do get that this is a contemporary erotic romance, spanning a 7 week period. But I think a more condensed version would have kept me more enthralled and less likely to skip bits. This is the first novel I have read by this author and I would be happy follow her development of plot and characters as this Trilogy unfolds.

I am aware the few editing issues are currently being address, but I didn't find they stopped me from reading to the end. Where you have that moment when you look around thinking "What Now, your going to finish now.... Quick, Quick, where's the next one?" The ending of the book was something I didn't see coming. Although the climax at the end could have been part of the overall story.
