5.0 out of 5 stars Great interactive book July 14 2005
By SAkron12 - Published on
Format: Hardcover
My 4 year old son loves this book. He has some speech delays and this book really got him talking! The interactive aspect of it is great. On one page the dogs jump off the board and goes under "water" which is like blue cellophane. So the white dog turns blue under water, the pink one turns purple, etc. The hat theme from the "Go, Dog, Go" book is also cute. There is a page where you turn the wheel and the dog's hat changes color. This book would help teach colors. Great book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just purchased a second copy! Sept. 29 2005

My 2y-8m old daughter simply adores this book, and we have great fun reading it together. It has been lovingly read to pieces, and it's time for a new one. This book is, hands down, one of her top-notch favorites! When I read to my daughter, I become quite animated; well, this book, by it's very design, invites us to be as silly as we can, because we are in for a jolly good time!

I highly recommend this one!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and sturdy Nov. 9 2006
By C. Yeager - Published on
Format: Hardcover
My 2-year-old loves this book. She is able to manipulate all the moving parts without ripping them out of the book. As a big 'Go Dog Go' fan, she also enjoys seeing the familiar characters and being able to make the dogs drive around in cars and jump in the water.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, *BUT*... April 18 2009

I like the *idea* of this book, but ...

1. The original is tremendously better. REALLY!
2. My 4 1/2 year old is neither overly careful or careless, but this book did not survive the month. The action was difficult for me to smoothly effect; sometimes I had to delicately force it. So, when he tried it... "oops" often occurred. (This goes for the other interactive titles in this series.)

HTH, but I see this only working for the older child with more refined fine motor skills, but then the book content might be mis-targeted.

5.0 out of 5 stars Little kids can have even more fun as they get involved in the action of all these dogs! May 24 2015
By Rob Natiuk - Published on
Format: Hardcover
Even in its original version of just pages, this book made my 3 youngsters laugh and learn some words and colors. That was more than good enough! But now the interative version has flaps, wheels and tabs and I'm sure little kids will enjoy it even more. I mean, white dog gets black spots, a youngster can change the red light to green, and make dogs zoom around in cars.

This book is for preschoolers, and perhaps first-graders. Toddlers can likely enjoy it too, but care has to be taken because some tabs and wheels might not stand up to their tugging. But when parents and children read and play with this book together, it's more than a winner.
