Before buying a replacement for your Wii make sure you try this first!

1-Unplug the cord in both power outlet and system.
2-Leave it unplugged for about a day or two.
3-Plug it back in and VOILA! Wii should be working again.

Unfortunately I had already bought this and dont wanna bother returning it for the price is too good. Havent tried it yet but I'll keep it as backup. just want to warn others first before buying! Good luck!

I didn't think I could find a replacement for the original cord without going through the Wii company and paying an obsence amount, but decided to check Amazon and of course was able to find one at a reasonable price.

I purchased this replacement Wii adaptor for my wife's nephew's abroad. The power adaptor worked very well for 6 weeks. But I've since found out where they live, they suffer from constant power outages. The last one burned out the adaptor and now I've had to purchase another one to replace it. In the US with a surge protecting power strip, I doubt that would have been a problem. So I gave it 4 stars for the fact it worked very well while it was working. But removed one star for not having an internal fused circuitry that would have stopped the supply from a power surge burn out.

Was dead on arrival. Had a look inside- the fuse is still good, the AC wire looks cheap but everything is connected ok, it just doesn't put out any power.

They sent a free replacement that had a different circuitboard, but unfortunately after working well for a month, one of the transistors exploded and now it's dead as well. I'm just using these on 110VAC in the US. Nothing else has burned up here, including the transformers on the same extension cord.

I didn't use it for myself. I purchased it so I could replace it with a real one and nobody be the wiser, hehehe. I will looks wise, it was an exact match! And for such a low price, i couldn't beat it. When I made the switch all mission impossible style i did notice the weight of it is much lighter than the real one. Probably means the reviews about interference are spot on. So good luck if you buy this for yourself..
