From the Back Cover

The Baxters come together one final time. . . . A deadly diagnosis In the fifth and final book in the Redemption series, plans are being made for a family reunion. Nearly all the Baxters have a reason to celebrate-except one. As the preparations get under way, a deadly diagnosis sends shock waves through the family and threatens to tear them apart. A heartbreaking secret The reality of what might lie ahead brings each of the Baxters to a place of faith and honesty. In the process, John and Elizabeth come to grips with a secret they haven't shared with anyone, a secret they rarely admit even to themselves. At the same time, a young man is making his rise in Hollywood and wondering about his place in life. A glorious celebration Amid the threat of sorrow, the Baxters share in their most wonderful celebration of all-a moment to remember that love always wins out, no matter how long the struggle, and a reminder that God reigns even in the darkest night. A story of God's grace, redemption, and victory even in the most difficult times. --This text refers to the MP3 CD edition.

Innes Haldane listens to her answering machine and is horrified to hear a desperate message from Isabella "Abby" Velasco. Back in 1977, when Innes was only fifteen-years-old, she resided in an adolescent psychiatric unit in Edinburgh, known only as "The Unit". The Unit dealt with the most troubled of teens. Some of the teens were there for mental problems, others for violence. It was a dark time and place that Innes had forced herself to forget.
Innes never returned Abby's call and later learns that Abby died, apparently a suicide. Then others Innes knew from The Unit turns up dead or worse. Innes feels compelled to look into Abby's death and see if something more sinister is going on ... and if she could be next on someone's hit list.
***** Sue Walker pens a dark and twisted psychological thriller that will keep you reading as quickly as you possibly can. I stayed up very late, promising myself that I would only read a few more pages, only to glance up at the clock to see another hour has past. Very intense! *****

The first book of this series was my first Kingsbury book, I certainly won't stop with this series. I read this book on a road trip back home from visiting family, not a good idea since I didn't have any tissue on hand. Like many of her books you really should read it with a box of tissue at your side. I know it would have been difficult for me to read at home with two small children because it would have been very hard to put down
I really enjoyed the way that this book wrapped everything up while still leaving the door slightly open for her next two series'.
A definite must read in my book! But please start with the first book in the series!!

I just learned about Karen Kingbury books through my family members, who all read them, so i started out reading the Redemption Series, and i just got to say they are awsome books, loved them all!!I loved reading about the Baxter family, when reading the books you almost feel like you know them. The last book Reunion was the hardest to read, i couldn't stop crying.Although it made me happy that God answered Elizebeth's prayers in the end.I'am a true Karen Kingsbury fan now, and have read many more of her books, and have not yet been disappointed.I would recommend this series to anyone. Everytime that I read a Karen Kingsbury book I cry. Never be without a box of tissues when you read her books. I love getting to know the characters it makes the books so much easier to read, which is why I like Karen Kingsbury so much. She is a very good story teller and makes everything seem so real. Great book and I can't wait for the First Born Series!!!
