I can definitely relate to the stories. Although you'll never catch me hanging 2000 feet off of cliff with no ropes, I have experienced
many of the aspects described about flow. And I am now more aware of the triggers that set it into motion. Great book for anybody
interested in learning how to harness their inner and perhaps undiscovered abilities.
He explains what Flow is and how it improves all aspects of life.
The book is well researched, well written, and filled with incredible knowledge.
I am grateful that I had the opportunity to read it.
'The Rise of Superman' is a five star must read book for everyone.
Steven Kotler is also a hero.
He rescues distressed dogs at his dog sanctuary in New Mexico.
and I support all of his incredible work.
While flow theory has a lot of scientfic support coming from research conducted by M. Csikszentmihalyi and others, this travesty of a book, with its abundance of misleading citations and wild, unfounded speculations, would get an F in any first year college course.
By all means, read for the stories about sports, but do not expect more than that.
