Wow, awesome device to heat up water, even get it boiling hot. I usually fill it half way up, (because this is the amount which fits in my coffee mug) and I get the water boiling hot if I want. I also use it for tea water.
I would recommend to use demineralized water because it keeps the metal heating spiral shiny. I use it now for about 3 month on a daily bases, (twice a day) and expect by then the cigarette outlet plug would have burned through...but no, doesn't show any signs in that direction.
If I would have known how good this device will work, I wouldn't have bought the coffee maker from the same manufacturer.
I can highly recommend this water kettle.

I wanted this product to work. I spend lots of time on the road for work and would love the ability to boil water to make coffee or tea on the road. When I discovered this product I got excited and wasn't put off by the reviews warning that it takes 20 min to boil water I just figured I would boil water about 20 minutes out from my destination. However when I got the product, I found that a) the lid doesn't firmly attach. It basically rests on top. Which doesn't instill any confidence about the kettle being water tight. B) there is no imprint anywhere on the kettle that tells you what type of plastic it's made from and if it is BPA free C) the kettle worked once and then after several attempts only the internal light would turn on but water would not boil. Very disappointed in this product

I use it everyday on the road.. Yes it does take a while to boil but it is a small price to pay considering you never have to buy coffee on the road again.. I love the attachment on the side where you can have it plugged in and boiling the water while you drive.. Excellent product so far and a must have for Truckers who love their coffee or tea first thing in the morning .. I absolutely recommend this product....

It kinda boils eventually, but by then you've past six coffee shops that would have met your needs with a lot less hassle.
