USA TODAY Bestselling Author Terri Anne Browning's The Rocker Series

Annabelle
I’ve always loved Zander Brockman in some shape or form. The boy who lived next door for the first seventeen years of my life has been my best friend, my confidant, my first crush, and my first love. I trusted him with my life and my heart. When he smiled at me I knew everything was going to be okay…

Until it wasn’t.

Zander
I haven’t seen that girl in seventeen years, and I’ve missed her every damn day. I knew I wasn’t good enough for her, so the night before I left with my bandbrothers for California, I stole a night with her. I lived off those memories. There hasn’t been a day that has gone by that I haven’t wanted to talk to her just one more time, but I knew she deserved a better man than me. Now, after seeing her again, I realize that I didn’t care if she should have a better man. My feelings were still as strong as they have ever been for her. I wanted to be with her…

But she hated the very sight of me.

That was the first book by Terri Anne Browning I read so I wasn't sure what to expect. But as I love rocker romances, I was all up for checking it out. And let's just say that I would never regret picking it up because I found a new favorite author. The story is captivating and intriguing and it caught my attention from the first few pages. I simply loved the fast pace of the story. It was easy to read and at the same time so heartbreaking.

Both characters are quite interesting individuals and make for a pretty intense story. Annabelle used to be a sweet girl after one too many heartbreaks, she trusts very few people in her life. And the one person she believed would never betray her, shattered her heart into million peaces on more than one occasion. Zander had his own reasons for leaving the one one person he loves more than anything in the world behind. But that cost him the little sanity he had left. But 17 years later he finds out that he lost much more than that.

This is a story of second chances and how two people meant to be together, finally find their HEA. I loved every word of this book and I am definitely recommending it. But be prepared! You are going to shed quite a few tears. I can honestly say that I will be definitely checking the other books in the series as I was quite intrigued by the other characters and I would love to get to know them better.

O.K, so i haven't done a review for each book of this series ...
Because i would only repeat my self... I LOVE THIS SERIES !!!
THIS would make such a great TV series. A series about today's rockers.
The ones who choose to have a family, and give priority to that family.
There are a few of them now are days. And they are successful.
There is everything in this series to make a good TV show.

and i am so jealous of those of you who haven't read one and will get to read of of them in a row.

HASH(0xa48b9bac) out of 5 stars The Rocker Who Ditches Me Oct. 21 2015
By Alpha Fangirl Book Blog - Published on Amazon.com

While I’m a big fan of Terri Anne Browning and her Rocker series, I’m not a big fan of Second Chance Decades Later romance. So, the 3 star rating has more to do with my personal tastes as a reader than anything else.
This book was well-written and anyone who likes very emotional second chance romance will love this book, so I recommend it for those readers.

In this book, the separation of the hero and heroine lasted 17 years and it felt really unnecessary. I realize that the timeline had to work out that way for Zander to get his own book and it to be with a heroine who was his first love.
And in all the flashbacks showing them as teenagers together, they were really sweet. I felt their love for each other.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

Then Zander just sort of decided he wasn’t good enough for her and gave up on their love. He did it coldly while feeling sorry for himself more than he felt sorry for her.

Years pass and they actually both are involved in the music world. In fact, she does PR for her famous country musician brother and other musicians. So for a lot of years she could have gotten a hold of him and her big excuse for not doing so was kind of lame.
Don’t misunderstand me with this review. I love this author and her books, but I really wasn’t buying all the excuses Zander and Annabelle had for the 17 years apart.

As for their reconciliation, I think it was too easy. 17 years of hurt built up would be something volatile in the heroine. She loved him that entire time and was all alone except for a few family members.
My only excuse for Zander was that they were young and hadn’t been an official couple for very long when he left her in the dust.
However, he also kind of said that at the time he was choosing between her and his rock star career. And the music, fame and fortune won.

Is this the last Rocker series book? I’m not sure. There’s a gigantic cast of characters at this point and I’m thinking there might be one or two stray single people left. If so, I look forward to the next book, but I also read Browning’s other series, so I’ll read a new book from any of those series, too.

For those who have read the series and had any questions about Zander this book will answer all of them. It starts out picking up where book 10 left off while you don't have to read the books before to under the story of Annabelle and Zander there is a lot of secondary characters that have already had there story told. The author takes you back to the beginning of of our couple when Anna was 16 almost 17 and Z was almost 19. Anna''s brother is the singer for OtherWorld and Zander plays bass. It's young love at its finest and the author takes the time to give you the full backstory. Fastfoward 17 years and they meet again. Zander has a lot to apologize for and Anna has a lot to forgive. I don't want to give anything away but make sure tissues are handy. If you want a love story spanning 17 years full of young love and heartbreaking sadness this book is for you.

HASH(0xa4b2060c) out of 5 stars time gap separation was too much Nov. 2 2015

Normally TAB is a 5star read for me.... but i couldn't give 5stars to this book. The whole reason he left her, to me, was the stupidest thing ever. Once i learned of his reasons i found myself skipping. once i got over that huge time gap, the daughter he never knew, etc, i did enjoy the book. Maybe it's just me, but I'm sort of glad the series is almost over, love it i do, but i think it's time.

HASH(0xa4903ed0) out of 5 stars Started out good Oct. 21 2015

This story started out good but about 3 /4 of the way, it lost its realism. What I am trying to say is, if a man avoided you for 17 years, are you going to forgive him as soon as you see him? Especially with all the heartbreak that Anna went through. No, I think not, but this is what happens in this book. I love a book that plays out like real life and this book lost that.

Such a miss for me, most of the book is flashbacks. And there is never a good explanation why the supposed hero stopped having contact with the heroine. He left home with big promises and then the next day does not take her calls. I think what he did was unforgivable and I did not enjoy this book. And. Hate the pregnancy plot device.
