Product Description

Four years ago, losing the love of my life almost destroyed me.
Years of being labeled and looked upon with disdain by everyone in my hometown almost wrecked me.
Four years ago, I became a mother and together we were enough… until I met him.
He wanted to rebuild my broken —I just didn’t know how to let him.
This is my story, of how one man’s love changed everything I thought I knew about life, love and myself.
Can Levi Eddison prove to be my restoration?

Everything in my world changed the day Braunwyn Daniels walked into my pub.
She was a woman of many contradictions. I recognized the happiness and sorrow each fighting its way to the surface from deep within.
I was drawn to her immediately.
Behind her long legs, chestnut brown hair and beautiful eyes lay a damaged soul.
I needed to change that —I just didn’t know how.
This is my story of how I met a broken girl and vowed to make her whole.
In the end, it turns out I knew nothing about true happiness until Braunwyn Daniels let me love her.

Dear Reader,
Mental Illness is a growing concern in our world today. On the Rocks is about surviving the aftermath of suicide, and believing in love again. Levi and Braunwyn’s love story is inspired by events that impacted the lives of people I care about deeply. I hope you enjoy their journey.

Gillian xx

On the Rocks can be read as a standalone within the Pub Fiction series. Each book however is interconnected, if you would like to get to know the previous couples mentioned in the, start with My Mind's Eye.

Gillian Jones tackles a subject that many people if possible would sweep under the proverbial rug. I am so proud of her for writing about the very real issue of Mental Illness, Depression & Suicide. My own family has been touched by suicide and the effects of mental illness. No it's not a pretty thing, but it is all too real & the after effects are devastating to the family & friends left behind.
Ms. Jones has given a voice to an issue that many people face on a daily basis. I applaud her for tackling this subject matter.

On the Rocks is a beautiful & breathtaking story of one young girls struggle to deal with the daily emotions of losing the one you love to suicide.

Braunwyn is left to be a teenage mother to a beautiful little girl. Although it's been over four years she cannot move on & be at peace.

Levi's main love is his bar Pub Fiction. Nothing comes close to filling his life the way his bar does until Braun walks in for an interview. His world is tilted on its axis as he begins to feel things he's never felt before.

Braun finds it hard to open up & be the young woman she really is. She can't move forward because she feels it will be a betrayal of what she shared with Sean.

Can Levi show Braun that he is the man for her or will she let old feelings hold her back from a life she is meant to live?

If you read anything before the end of the year this is the book you must read!!!!

Review of On The Rocks (Pub Fiction #2) by Gillian Jones

Review done for Hooked on Books

5 out of 5 stars

I didn’t think Gillian Jones could come up with another sexy, alpha male who was as awesome as Ryker, but she certainly did with his brother Levi.

Levi is the definition of a player: sexy, smart, and not wanting a relationship. Casual sex is all he wants and the only girl for him is his bar.

However, when Braunwyn is waiting for a job interview in his office, something in him sparks to life. He has never really been interested in knowing too much about a woman before, but Braunwyn seems completely different from all the women he has met. There is something about her that brings out his protective side.

Braunwyn has had to suffer through more tragedy in her life than most people twice her age. Even with all the challenges life throws at her, she pushes through. She has more than just herself to think about.

Needing any type of job, she applies at Pub Fiction. Little did she know that she was going to meet her knight in shining armor there.

Braunwyn’s past is a major hurdle for her to overcome. She is scared to death of getting her heart ripped apart again. Levi is going to do whatever he can to prove his love and worth to her. He loves everything about her, including Emme!

Braunwyn and Levi are a perfect match for each other. Levi was sweet, sexy, and such a dirty talker! I think I am in love with him as well.

Braunwyn is such a strong, beautiful, courageous woman. She certainly deserved to get her happily ever after.

I just loved this series! I absolutely recommend it to read!

Reviewed On Behalf Of A Book Lover's Emporium Book Blog

Wow! On The Rocks was definitely gripping! That Prologue. My God. How heart breaking! This story had mystery, suspense and heart clenching moments! What more can you need in a book? Oh, and the sexy moments were amazing!

Braun lost the love of her life almost four years ago, and it almost destroyed her. She became a single parent at a very young age, but she adapted. She carried on with life, and four years later she meets Levi and everything changes. He wants to heal her and make her whole. So sweet! I loved these two characters! And Emme! Ahhhh! SO adorable and I just loved how Levi was with her!

I loved Levi and Braun! It was a beautiful love story with plenty of ups and downs. Actually it was an emotional roller coaster but I loved every second! This book is about love, loss, trust, hope and healing. It was beautifully written and I can’t wait to see what is coming next from Gillian Jones!

In the second book of the series the focus is on Ryker's older brother Levi. Levi is the owner of the bar Pub Fiction and has no time or desire for a relationship with focusing so much time on his bar. But when the bar loses Ryker, Kat and Claire he begins to look for others to fill the option postions.

Braunwyn Daniels lost the love of her life 4 years ago but was left with Emmerson, her daughter. Grateful for her grandma and best friend London, Braun gets a job at Pub Fiction to try and earn some more money to support herself and Emmerson.

When Levi and Braun meet sparks fly but Braun has no intention of letting him know anything about her past, or her daughter. Yet, when Levi finds out the truth will it bring them closer or push Levi away, knowing he has no interest in settling down?

I really enjoyed this book and it tackled another difficult topic - suicide. I thought it really touched on all of the facets of suicide and how it's not meant to hurt anyone. I thought it was covered extremely beautifully and it was definitely done really well.

I loved the change in Levi from the first book to this one and how he really discovered what was important to him.

Braun was such a strong woman with everything that she coped with and has had to go through. I love characters like hers as they have so much resilience yet don't really realize it as they are so busy worrying about those around them.

This was a great book and I am really hoping there will be more!
