Very versatile and well made. I'm finding all sorts of uses for it and far exceeds a regular saw horse or workmate type bench.

HASH(0xa0035dbc) out of 5 stars From the Wife's Perspective !! May 11 2010

Probably not the typical type of review you'd think you'd read.... I have never seen my husband so happy with a product as like this one. We purchased two Jaw horses one stays up and in constant use, the other is his "mobile" one... I have seen him using this practically every single day since the day of delivery. He has done more around the house then ever !!! This product has given him so many times the "extra hands" needed to do the job. Once more... it free's me up to not have to be the one "holding" the item he's working on... it's amazing... I'll give you an example: He needed to cut a board, a simple board, normally it was him who would say, "hey can you stand on this for me so I can get this angle just right...??" and now... all I hear is the sound of the skillsaw, and look out the window and realize he's hard at work.. and has just this week completed the making of my front door porch !!!! Both Jawhorses, set up, and in use and a very happy husband !!! I myself used it for a simple job and realized OMG this is great... I wanted to put together a picture frame and had nothing to hold it while I used the glue and nails... thought.. humm I'd try the Jawhorse myself... it was EASY to use... and worked just the frame together, and it was the most fun saying "look hun, I did this all by myself too"... I must admit I was sceptical thinking it would hold heavy items etc... but I can say with all confidence... this is GOING to do the job... it is everything it says it is and more... I am ecstatic we bought them.. was the best best best buy we could have gotten for such a great price... I'm a very happy wife with lots of little odd jobs being completed and done with ease and a smile... Happy !!!!

HASH(0xa0042870) out of 5 stars Love the Rockwell Jawhorse..Issue with manufacturing..see picts. Feb. 11 2014

First off let me say I love the Rockwell Jawhorse..Fabulous product..I ordered the foldable Jaw and had issues with it though..The two locking tabs underneath did not work right..The steel plates were welded at different lengths..They have to be the same distance for the tabs to function..One was 1/4" off..I contacted Rockwell and they sent a replacement out right away, but they didn't seem concerned they might have a manufacturing problem..Am waiting to see if this replacement has the same issue..Just a "heads up" for future buyers..

This thing is great. I got the standard size jawhorse here form Amazon... and bought the miter box table from Lowes.

1st impression.
1) Box came beat up and torn, but the unit was safe and working.
2) Drop dead easy to setup.
3) I kept tripping over the big raised feet. That is going to be a problem.
4) The little scroll "wheel" on the bottom is useless. You cannot go over anything other than a flat surface, but then the legs keep falling down.
5) The rear leg has a PLASTIC knob you tun to tighten it. I thought it said no plastic on this thing? It seems like it will wear out before anything else.
6) It locks down easy! I built some custom closet bookshelves for storage... and this thing was a helpful hand throughout.
7) Comes with a DVD to learn about all the functions and "sell you" on extras.
8) Personally I think I should have just gotten the extended version... in case I ever do put plywood on it... ohh well. I rarely need to. I can always add it on if the job comes up. Painting something would be a good use for a big sheet. Sort of like a workbench.
9) I also considered the professional version which had wheels and full size board included but it was so much more.

You can find these at your Lowes for the same price now. Shipping took a week for me which made me miss using it for some major projects, but I see it coming in very handy!

HASH(0xa0113804) out of 5 stars big on steel poor on paper May 12 2010

as with everything in the Jawhorse line, this is well built and easy to use after you understand its functions. I am however very dissapointed with the "manual". I wouldn't even use the paper in the bathroom! Poor pictures with even poorer descriptions numbers, letters and boxes. I am being a bit harsh for the plywood attachment however this applies to the main unit which I received as a gift.I am so disapointed in the manuals and CD that comes with the main unit, I had to vent here. This stuff is built great and works great. Instead of a 5 languages manual, perhaps they could have spent the money on a detailed manual and CD. Even the plywood attachment needs supports made from 2 X 4's for large sheets. In the CD they just appear! They tell you that they are needed and include fancy clamps for them, but they do not tell you where and how to use all of them!! You must decipher this from the pictures available in the manual and on the CD. I was able to figure it all out by jumping between the manual and CD, but I shouldn't have to and for people that are not regular users of this stuff it could be real frustrating

I recently bought the Rockwell Jawhorse foldable plywood tool from It works great for holding larger sheets of plywood for cutting by one person. A must have when on job site by your self. It is nice not to have to bend over or kneel in the mud. I would recommend this tool to anyone who works with larger sheets of materials that need to be cut.
