HASH(0xa161d588) out of 5 stars This wonderful coloring/reference book is a must have for nature lovers of all ages March 5 2015
By Jackie Cooper - Published on
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This wonderful coloring/reference book is a must have for nature lovers of all ages. The book is set up to take you from the beautiful flowery foothills of the Rocky Mountains to the rugged peaks; with educational paragraphs and artistic, realistic illustrations of the fauna and flora at each level along the way.

The illustrations are printed front and back of each page. The pictures have many details so colored pencils work well in this book.

Con: The illustrations have a lot of black and dark shading, but my grandchildren still love this book.

HASH(0xa11e1138) out of 5 stars Disappointed Jan. 1 2008
By happyhomemaker - Published on
Format: Paperback
Very Disappointed--there is way too much ink on the coloring pages and almost nothing left for the kids to color (the artist has already filled in most of the drawings with black ink)--I won't buy any more by this artist--we have others in the series by other artists which we really like.

HASH(0xa11e1564) out of 5 stars Educational coloring book for older kids or adults July 7 2012

I really like the Dover coloring books. Art work is nicely done, although on this particular book, the ink details on some pages didn't leave much room for color. It is nice also to have the description of the plants and animals.
