Good for the price. Makes a very tight fit into the Rosewill 4u rack case. I had to use some force to fit it in the 5.25" bay. I bought three of these to fit 12 drives into my Freenas setup. Two can actually fit into the Rosewill case vertically and one more in the cd rom bay.

Reviews have been saying bad airflow due to the pcb covering the fan. Yes the pcb is covering less than half the fan but there is a good amount of space behind the drives between the fan and pcb. Runs silent and moves tons of air. Not a problem to cool the 4 hard drives in each enclosure and still provide plenty of air movement through the rack to cool the passive CPU on my Asus Rack Mini itx server motherboard. Other reviews say it's cheap plastic. It's made of plastic and the drive caddies and also plastic but they latch very smoothly and hold drives in place well enough for a installed rack system. Very satisfied and saved a bundle assembling my own 12 bay hot swap chassis...

Great value for CAD$50-$60. Came with the metal alloy cage, plastic trays, and 4x 18" SATA3 cables with 180 degree connectors at each end. Being lazy I would have preferred a tray-less hot-swap construction but couldn't convince myself to spend 3x the money just to get that feature.

I also have ICY Dock 3x5 units that are constructed using a high quality metal enclosure and hot-swap trays with Teflon plastic slides. It's clear the price of the Rosewill units are, at least partially, because of less expensive materials. Quality is adequate for my needs within a home storage server. Actually, the Rosewill hot-swap trays are easier to slide into the slots.

Airflow appears to be decent too although partially obstructed from the backplane. I wish the attached fans were four instead of three pin. Really would like to adjust fan speed and thus volume. The tachometer is great for alarm when the fans stop altogether but temperature PID control would have been better.

Decent buy.

This thing is pretty cool. Affordable, well built. Although the sleds are plastic the are well built and sturdy. Highly recommend this product for any one building their own server or want some extra io slots in their tower.

Not bad. A little hard to plug in depending on your case but it fits with a bit of a wiggle. Over all not bad.

As seen in other comments, the fan is obstructed by the back-board thereby preventing very good cooling (if the case case good air circulation, it is not really a problem) Further, the position of the sata III sockets forces the use of straight sata connectors (cannot use 90degres cables)

All in all, a reasonably good product.
