HASH(0xa585bba0) out of 5 stars Awesome for the money March 29 2012

I was looking for a 4+ port Gigabit switch that supports Jumbo Frames. Most of them were in the $50+ range and so I kept looking. I came across this device from Rosewill. Now I have seen their products in lots of places and have read positive reviews but this was my first purchase of Rosewill tech. I thought that it might be too good to be true but it performs flawlessly and is running 24/7. We'll see about the longevity down the road but I am very satisfied with my purchase and I think I will purchase more Rosewill products when they meet the need in the future.

HASH(0xa58ed594) out of 5 stars Best Budget Priced 8 Port Giga Switch Made - Northern Idaho Networks Dec 23 2012

While looking for a a wireless N adapter card for a desktop PC, I came across this 8 port switch made by Rosewill. So, I decided to give it a try and when I received it, came boxed in a retail box with power supply and instructions. Very well made, yes, it has a hard plastic case but it is so light. Doesn't get hot but only warm unlike other switches made by Netgear or Cisco that they get hot and eventually give out because of the heat they put out. This is a "green" switch, so, it makes it ideal to run on low power if the port isn't being used or if the cable length is short. But believe me when I tell you that this switch out performs those more expensive models, it does what it does. I'll be buying more of these. Great product! I give it 5 stars.

HASH(0xa5b65618) out of 5 stars Decent little GB switch at a low price March 8 2013

Had a single gigabit drop to my home theatre PC. Then needed to add 2 or three more devices (stereo receiver, ROKU, etc) and needed more ports. Didn't want to downgrade the HTPC to 100mb/s so bought this switch. No crossover cable needed - it autosensed the source. Everything works, everything is happy - even running Jumbo Frames - no issues. Small, quiet, low power - just what I needed.

eh, it's no cisco or prosafe. i'd probably not buy this again, but it does work and see my other reviews as i've been accused of being a fanboy/sponsored by rosewill. while i wish i could earn a living that way, i just use what works. this does. as does the rest of their gear. would i have a hard time deciding between tp-link and netgear in the future: yes. would i probably just go cisco small business (sg300 full layer 3 or unmanaged --> the only choices IMO) ABSOLUTELY. however, if you're looking for a linksys alternative for gig-e; just do it. it'll work. forever. and you'll never have to question.

I purchased this little switch as an addition to my home network. I like to stream huge HD Movie Files to my media player from my old mac G5. This gigabit switch worked as advertised. I am very happy with my purchase.
