This product is a cheap knock off of the real deal and made in China. The colors are off as well as the feel. If you want a real version of this, make sure it was made in the US. I was thrown off by the Rothco name and the fact that it was designed to look like the real thing...even all the way down to the tag.
For those who do not know, a poncho liner is an amazing piece of technology. It is fairly thin and certainly does not weight but several ounces total. However it will keep you warm on a cold night and should the temperature fall below zero all you need to do is wrap this around you and crawl in to your sleeping bag. For the hot days it has tie straps in all the corners so you would be able to have overhead shelter from the sun. It will tie in to a poncho (hence the name) and help keep you warmer but for wet weather the ideal answer is to find an old Army wet weather top/bottom and take them and a liner to the seamstress and have them make you a Graf (Grafenwoehr) parka. That parka will keep you toasty and if you re-waterproof the seams it will keep you fairly dry during wet weather.
This is also a wonderful item to include in your emergency preparedness kit/bug out bag or even to keep in the car. All in all this item is one of the most versatile pieces of gear a person can own.
We order one from a chinese manufacturer and theirs was way better.
I'd stay away from this wooby. I've honestly never seen one of these disintegrate so fast or in this fasion. Very cheaply made, for the same price as others. The Rip stop fabric pattern was more wide than I've ever seen before too. Usually is more tight to prevent the fabric from falling apart.
Any combat arms or Blue Cord wearers will be extremely disappointed in this product.
