Twin A sets up Twin B with a bride-to-be from Russia via an internet beginning. Oops, the beautiful Russian blond has a child. The details of the difficulty of gaining a Russian wife for an American are real. My son, once a Hoosier, married a Russian, and the requirements and red-tape are strict. Coble provides a realistic situation, even though, because it's listed as a Romance novel, the outcome is somewhat predictable. Romance novels are supposed to end happy.
5-stars are warranted due to the process of love vs loss, and many mixed emotions between characters, all so enticingly written by the author. The book holds your interest, and leaves you celebrating the finale. Coble gets you where you expected to be at the end, but she makes you take a road less traveled.
Another positive, since the book is now available secondhand, it makes it much easier & less expensive. At least at our county library, Colleen Coble books are always checked out. Look over her other books. "Anathema" also takes place in the author's home state, Indiana, just like "From Russia with Love."
