Bought this last October,price was good and had to wait until spring to u
se it. The second time using it, fully charged battery and all.I got from the trimmer was a few clicks. Checked the blade area to.ensure it was clogged. Brought it into the house and it started to smoke. Got in touch with Ryobi, apparently Amazon is not an.authorized dealer a d they won't do anything under warranty. Not happy

These hedge trimmers cut the time I topically spend on my yard in half. They cut branches a little bigger than my old trimmer and easily allowed me to direct the clippings were I wanted them to go, so I did not have to stop and use a saw on many of the branches and I was able to direct almost all the clippings to the tarp I placed beside each bush. It was so much easier than usual.

I don’t often do reviews but this product is exceptional. Congrats to Ryobi for getting it right.

Why I like it.

1) it has the power needed to do the work. It cuts 1/2 inch stems with ease. I did 20 large bushes on one charge and some charge left over.
2) the handle rotates and locks making up/down (90 degrees), 45 degrees, and horizontal trimming a breeze. 90 degree and 45 degree is available in both directions (even better).
3) it takes pressing two buttons to start it but once started you can let one button go. This really helps reduce hand fatigue.
4) it is long enough to cruise through most bushes in one pass.
5) it is well balanced which also reduces fatigue.

VERY PLEASED. WELL DONE!!!
