About the Author

David Suzuki is a highly acclaimed geneticist and the host of The Nature of Things. He has written numerous books, including Wisdom of the Elders, Metamorphosis and Good News for a Change, and is the founder and chair of the David Suzuki Foundation. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Amanda McConnell has written more than one hundred documentary films, many of them for The Nature of Things. She has a Ph.D. in English Literature, and she writes and gardens in Toronto, Ontario.
