Pros:
Hardware:
-Stainless steel really feels like a real classic watch would
-Rotating bezel is very functional while on the move, and makes it easy to paginate through things. Has a physical clicky/tactile notches which are very satisfying to use.
-Bezel is also an added protective feature for the screen
-Very comfortable design, back is glass and rounded
-Very easy to change straps with a spring loaded lock, which isn't easy to accidentally remove
-Watch vibration is quiet and powerful - I use it as a silent alarm
-Advertised battery life is realistic. Someone complained about less than 12 hours, this is simply not true, unless you're working out all day long or fiddling all day long or have high brightness or lots of notifications.
Software:
-Uses the new WearOS 3, no need to worry about being outdated any time soon, or being stuck with a manufacturer specific OS with poor selection of apps or built-in software (like fitbit, huawei, etc.). Software has been well polished since the release of the watch and there are no major bugs or annoyances. Everything is lag free and quite smooth.
-Samsung Pay on your watch - really addicted to this and very useful when grocery shopping, no need to fiddle with a wallet!
-Do not disturb mode syncs with the phone automatically (unlike Wear OS 2), great for keeping quiet at work and sleep
-Can see all your phone notifications and see the same details as if on your phone and quick reply or type/say a full reply.
-Watch-only mode that saves battery
-Wireless charging on your compatible Galaxy phone, makes it really convenient to top up your watch
Fitness:
-Automatic activity tracking starts tracking things like longer walks, and logs it automatically as exercise
-Can track lots of exercises including skiing/snowboarding, numerous common gym exercises (i.e. deadlifts, curls, squats, etc), dancing, yoga, volleyball, archery, and lots more
-Option to remind you to move when you're inactive
-Continuously detects heart rate, and stress all day long, both of which seem quite accurate, while the battery still lasts the whole day. Very useful to see this data throughout the day and it's history.
-Samsung health app is miles better than Google Fit - tracking is more empirical by counting steps, active minutes, and calories burned (vs Fit's steps and arbitrary "heart points"). Phone app also includes tons of free workout programs/routines and demo videos for each individual exercise within the routine. Somethings need a premium subscription like meditation audio by Calm, but there are no watch features you need to pay for (like fitbit does)
Cons:
-Straps look very basic for the price I'm paying, but at least they very comfortable and sorta eye catching.
-Google assistant not (yet) available, only Bixby
-ECG/Blood pressure support that's available in other regions(US/AUS) not yet in Canada and unclear if it ever will be, supposedly they will update us when it is here...which sounds like it may come in the future. I would honestly not use the blood pressure feature as it needs calibration, but ECG sounds cool - but is also not easy to monitor/use frequently as you need to sit and be still.
-Battery life isn't as long as some other watches, but is sufficient and isn't a huge issue. Very easy to charge up while taking a shower or at night before bed, not a huge deal breaker.
Tips: Dim the brightness, use a black watch face, and turn off always on display, you can easily achieve about 24h of battery life or more, even while having all health features set on continuous.
Only had this for a few days, but will update this as time goes on.

Few things i didn't like
Stock band is rather small and uncomfortable. Was able to order two nice metal bands easily but the rubber sport band i couldnt get used to.
The battery life was less then what i hoped for. Had to turn off the raise to wake feature otherwise it would drain the battery. This was disappointing as i would have like to use to always on face option but out of the question with this size.
Speaker quality for calls was pretty weak. I didn't understand this as i know the speaker could get loud but when you took a call on it, you could barely hear the other side and with the mic i found myself having to yell at the watch or just grabbing my phone. Defeating the reason i got this.
If your in canada they disable the ecg and heart monitoring. You can side load this on if you know how but annoying to pay full price while missing 20% of the option advertised with the watch.
I would still buy it again because it was a nice watch and better look and feel then the iwatch but i would have to get the larger size. I was also confused that it says it built on the google os but you cant actually use google os app with this.
