Product Description

Early praise from readers, bloggers, and authors call this book "The Best Book of 2017!" and a "Must Read Summer Sensation."

Welcome to the mysterious world of the rich and the damned in this gritty, modern day fairy tale. Two star-crossed lovers will either find their destiny or meet their fate in a world where demons come in the form of familiar faces and pawns aren’t just players, but deadly.

She was my destiny.

I was her downfall.

We were a match made in hell.

But when we were together, that hell was pure heaven.

The moment I laid eyes on her, I knew she would pay the price for my sins. I wasn’t much older than she was, but old enough to know better. Old enough to know she would be good for me and I was bad for her. But I pursued her anyway. Back then I had hope that maybe she could change my future.

Maybe together we could change our fate . . .

This book is quite the emotional read - hang on to your seat ... I loved this story. The read was complicated and compelling. The characters were written with such depth. I loved it and can not wait for Book 2. I feel so taken with Alexander; although broken he's one tough tough alpha hero trying to do what he feels his girl needs and deserves. Awesome!

I have a confession. I’ve been trying to write this review for many days. I finished Savage more than a week ago, and still I find it difficult to put the whirling emotions I’ve experienced into words. This book is going to wreck you. It’s going to leave you in a jaw-dropping state, most likely in the middle of the night because you won’t be able to put it down.

I find myself asking many questions. Questions which I must now wait to have answered. There’s a saying about good things coming to those who wait.

Alexander and Sarah Jane; the King and his Queen. Theirs is a raw, all-consuming love that will twist you up and take you on an emotional journey you’re not ready for. It’s rare to find a story that is blended with edge of your seat suspense, darkness, and twisted secrets.

I’ve sobbed, yelled at the screen more than once, and had my anxiety shoot the roof. It’s heart-wrenching, complex, dark and light rolled into one, and as always with S.L. Scott, beautifully written.

S.L. Scott – thank you. Thank you for taking us on this heart-stopping journey. Thank you for pouring your heart and soul into these characters, for giving us the gift of your writing.

Drop what you’re doing and go. Go. Run. Download. 5 King-sized stars.

I give Savage (The Kingwood Duet Book 1) 5 stars. OMG I can't believe I have to wait til August for book 2. Loved it. This book made me feel every emotion possible. I went from the highest highs to the lowest lows and felt every level in between. A love like that is truly something. Although there was a lot of darkness, the light generally seeped through.

Suzie L Scott is a new author to me but one I'll be sure to follow. Her imagination, to be able to write this book, is awesome. Her writing is great, and she has developed a very strong plot with amazing characters that you won't want to miss.

Alexander and Sara Jane are a match made in hell, but when they are together it feels like heaven. He knew from the beginning that she would pay for his bad deeds. He was old enough, but still not very old, to know she would be good for him even though he wasn't good for her. He couldn't give her up. Is there a future for these two?

Sara Jane Grayson is Alexander's destiny from the moment he lays eyes on her. She was seventeen when she met him and they've been inseparable for the past three years. She knows of his dark side, but generally only see his good side. Will she see how dark he really is?

Alexander Kingwood IV is from the mysterious world of the rich. He leads a very dark life since his mother was murdered. He's not close to his father even though he lives in the same house, works with him, and deals with him on a daily basis. He knows he'll be Sara Jane's downfall. Can he walk away before it's too late?

Savage (The Kingwood Duet Book 1) is a contemporary romance novel about passionate love, giving into what your heart wants even though you should probably walk the other way. This is a love story with the potential for heartache...we'll find out the answer in the second book, Savior.

A great novel that leaves you waiting and wanting more. August seems so far away ;).

This is my first read by SL Scott and boy was it an epic read!!

When you know your relationship is built on secrets and mystery can you ever fully commit or will your heart lead you to where you should be?

From the moment Alexander laid eyes on Sara Jane he knew she was his but he knew she was the good to his bad and he would end up destroying her.

“Every love story has its burdens to bear. It’s how they survive it that makes it great.” I desperately want ours to survive."

Sara Jane is a good girl but when the one you love is fighting for something he believes in, something that is part of him she is determined to be strong for him.

“Bring on your troubles and lay your darkness down. I’ll take it all if it means I get you.”“You have me, Firefly. You will always have me.” Because, love is risky. And it’s worth it."

This book will have you on the edge your seat and wanting more. It's mystery, suspense, lies, and secrets with a giant dose of love all rolled into one with one massive cliffhanger.

I cannot wait for part two of the Kingwood Duet to see what miss Scott has in store for these characters.

S.L. Scott’s Savage has touched me where it counts when it comes to romance and angst. Had I not been sitting, I’d have dropped to my knees. I’ve given it 5 absolutely deserving stars for her beautiful poetic thoughts and words, an amazingly smart and insightful heroine, a strong, young hero who has yet to come into his own, an emotional journey that is not yet over. It has the perfect kind of angst, the kind that makes you yearn for young lovers to overcome all the obstacles, to become the better people we know they can be. It makes you have faith in what love can do.
Alexander and Sara Jane, his little firefly, a fairy tale in the making—two souls destined to be together, entwined in eternity. This story embodies what a romance story is.

“…they fought to be together. Against all odds, they made their way back to each other and loved with every fibre of their being. …it’s because of the journey. Every love story has its burdens to bear. It’s how they survive it that makes it great.”

Alex and Sara Jane have a story to tell, a journey to take, and how they survive, will make it great.

They met as teenagers and life on the dark side was eye-opening for Sara Jane. She saw only what she wanted, she kept herself protected while she grew, grew stronger and stronger. She felt so much, her emotions steeling her in place, not allowing her to save herself but to learn from everything Alex is as he created his queen. Or has he? The Kingwood Duet will continue, so if you can’t possibly wait when you are left hanging by an amazing thread as drops of water fall from your cheeks, perhaps you ought to wait for the Duet to be completed. Saviour will come to compete the Duet and I am waiting on pins and needles with bated breath.
