About the Author

Patricia Cornwell is an award-winning former police reporter who spent time working both as an employee of the Virginia Chief Medical Examiner’s Office and as a volunteer police officer before she wrote her first Kay Scarpetta novel, Postmortem, which was the first novel ever to win the Edgar, Creasey, Anthony, Macavity, and French Prix du Roman d’Aventure awards in one year. She has followed that up with ten other bestselling novels featuring Kay Scarpetta. She then began a new series with her #1 New York Times bestsellers Hornet’s Nest and Southern Cross. She is also the author of two cookbooks, Scarpetta’s Winter Table and Food to Die For; A Time for Remembering, a biography of Ruth Bell Graham, wife of evangelist Billy Graham; a children’s book, Life’s Little Fable; and her #1 bestselling work of nonfiction, Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper—Case Closed. She lives in New York City.

I love Patricia Cornwell. I have all her books in hardback. I did not enjoy this cd at all due to the female orator. She showed no kind of emotion while reading. It was very flat and very boring. I certainly would never pick her to read a book of anyones. I actually threw it away and money doesn't grow on trees here.

HASH(0xa4562408) out of 5 stars Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta Series Feb. 15 2002

I have all of the books in this series. They are all very worth reading. Cornwell has developed an exciting and indepth character in Kay Scarpetta. If you read them by starting with the first book it is much easier to follow the story. Happy Reading.

HASH(0xa505018c) out of 5 stars A mighty mix up / mess Feb. 19 2007

Id say the story might be good but up to now I havent been able to listen to it because.

1 We all know Post Mortem was her first book but the way the stories have been put on this cd Body of eveidence is first.

2 There is no Gap between to say this is now playing the next story.

it says on the cd it starts on a certain number but Id say its not very well advised. I still havent found the beginning of the story and Ive tried 3 times.

I think Im going to have to buy them again seperatly.

Wasting money is not my favourite occupation.
HASH(0xa4d2e99c) out of 5 stars Changing technolgy Oct. 12 2009

A long-standing fan of Patricia Cornwell, I have a complete collection of Kay Scarpatta and other works, but many are on audiotape. When I travel by car or plane, my audiobooks make the miles tolerable. I am beginning to replace the tapes with CDs. If I were not technolgically challenged, I should be downloading the books.
HASH(0xa416669c) out of 5 stars Scarpetta on the case June 27 2010

I really thought Scarpetta was going to find out her niece was responsible for hacking into the office computer system, so it was a surprise to find out who really did it. My first time listening to one of her books instead of reading it. I think I like reading them better.
