"Reading Timothy W. Long is like being in a knife fight that doesn't end until the last page." --Nicholas Sansbury Smith, bestselling author of The Extinction Cycle

HASH(0x9cdc71d4) out of 5 stars History buffs and zombie fans, unite! Dec 28 2015

I am huge fan of both World War II history and zombie fiction, so I was extremely excited when the book was announced. I am happy to say that Timothy did not let me down. From the opening scene to the final act, I was hooked. The author does a fantastic job at recreating the time period and events, as well as creating strong characters that you genuinely care about. Plenty of heroics and teeth gnashing abound. The Front: Screaming Eagles is a refreshing break from traditional zombie fiction. You owe yourself the favor of picking up a copy. Needless to say, I can't wait for the two follow up novels from Moody and DiLouie.

I loved the premise of this story. Very unique. Extremely engaging characters, the author really makes you feel for the well-being of the characters. And I love how he has woven his story into historical events.

Can't wait until book 2!

Hello, this was a very refreshing zombie tale. Nazi zombies at that. A great story that breathes new life into a genre that has been over stocked with boring inventory for a long time. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

HASH(0x9cdc7774) out of 5 stars Nazi Mistake = Zombies Jan. 2 2016
By Joan Macleod - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I love World War II history and zombies so with this combination I had to read it and I'm glad I did. The 101st Airborne are sent to the Ardennes Forest outside of Bastogne to assist Baker Company in holding back the Germans. Trying to survive the bitter cold with little ammo, food and hope of help, they have no idea of the horror coming their way. The Nazis have developed a miracle serum to make their soldiers killing machines but of course there are unknown side effects, namely the soldiers become zombies...oops. The battle begins just to survive the zombie hordes now made up of German and American soldiers. The men all race to the town of Bastogne with the aid of surviving German soldiers and all hell breaks loose. This book has great well defined characters and a well researched story with lots of tense, dramatic moments. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical and zombie genres. This is the first in a three part series written by three different authors Timothy W Long, Dave Moody and Craig DiLouie and I'm really looking forward to the next books. Well done, it was a great wild ride.
