Product Description

See You on the Other Side is led by the single 'Twisted Transistor,' which is quickly making substantial noise on U.S. rock radio outlets. See You on the Other Side was produced by Korn frontman Jonathan Davis in tandem with Atticus Ross and, more surprisingly, the pop hitmaking team the Matrix (Liz Phair, Hilary Duff). This is Korn's debut album via a partnership with EMI/Virgin Records. This deluxe limited edition comes with a bonus CD that contains two videos and remixes. 2005.

I listened to this album a bunch of times and everytime I like it more. Just like any good record It grows on you. Sure its different from previous Korn releases but hey it's a new album it should be different do you really want Korn to turn into U2 or staind releasing album after album of the same material with slight variations just because it sells and is easy. And if you have'nt noticed most of Korn 's albums have been different from one another, albeit this is the most drastic change. If every album was the same why make more than one.
I for one like this album alot partially cuz it is different and partially cuz it just plain rocks and I can only hope the next album is different from this one. Andhey if it doesn't rock cuz I don't like the change then I am not going to be mad cuz I still have this album and maybe there next change will be better. If you don't evolve you die out or at least become boring and irrelevant.
So I can only suggest to any long time Korn fan, such as myself, give it a bunch of listens and be open minded and if you still don't like it, hey thats your perogative. Just don't be mad at change you never know there next evolution could be the best album you ever heard.

While not a huge fan of KoRn myself, I am nevertheless seduced now and again by the fast paced sounds and the raw gritty quality to the lyrics. KoRn is a rather controversial band, not shying from obscenities or explicit descriptions where it decides they're warranted and even if you're not too keen on this (as is my case) they still manage to make it sound good - it's catchy even if you don't like what it's gotten stuck in your head.

This was my main problem with 10 Or a 2-Way and Getting Off - the lyrics made me cringe at times, but all in all the cd was still a very good listen and it definitely merited being stuck on repeat just for the creepy but catchy background noise it added. Twisted Transistor (which everyone has heard), Liar, and Throw Me Away were three of my favorites - the latter of the three having a very angst ridden feel which broke up the three songs prior to it which I, at least, thought sounded very similar and were *good* but still seemed to run into one another.

And despite what reviewers before me have said, I loved Tearjerker - I'd venture to say it was my favorite song on the album. It's not their usual fast-paced non stop beat, and by comparison it's a very mellow side of the cd. More than anything else, I thought it was an excellent finish to See You on the Other Side; very gloomy, depressing, creepy feeling and it gives you a sense of conclusion and finality. It was made all the more enjoyable to me just because it was unique from the rest of the album and did show a 'softer' (if you can even call it that) side of KoRn.

Bottom line; if you're a KoRn fan there should be more than enough classic KoRn sounds on this album to inspire a purchase.

"See You On The Other Side" is an album that shows korn, with a different number in band members, comes a new sound. And that their locked, loaded, and not afraid to pull the trigger and blow everyone away with it. The new sound isn't for everyone, but if you're a loyal korn fan I'm pretty sure you'll dig the new sound. The album takes the band higher on the bar of nu-metal. Personally, this is one of the best albums I've heard scince such titles as "Follow The Leader" and "Issues". The new sound is a mix of heavy riffs and electronica sounds, also in my opinion a good mix.
The first single "twisted transistor" has awesome riffs, a killer chorus, and cutting-edge lyrics sure to reach fans on a personal level. But don't be fooled, thats not the only new sound on the album. Tracks like "hypocrites" show that they're still ready to say whats on their mind and not care what anyone says. "Open Up" has new feel on the outro, a soothing little guitar lick with some electronica effects. And the final track "tearjerker" shows something korn has never done, a song with a ballad feel. It's a touching song which I'm sure will reach out to listeners everywhere. Within the song Lead man Jonathan Davis reaches new vocal talent that will stun music lovers.
"See You On The Other Side" is a fantastic album that I personally recommend as a great buy. I strongly encourage this album to long-time and new korn listeners, for as this album will go down in history with the saga that is Korn.

If you've ever even heard about KoRn, you no doubt have heard their latest hit - Twisted Transistor. And despite that it's so commercialized that there is hardly a rock radio/tv channel that's not playing it, it's still got KoRn's secret formula of making amazing songs. The rest of the album is very different from Twisted Transistor and that's why I didn't like it at first. But that all changed pretty quick, cause every song on that new album is amazing, more or less. And most importantly, it's comes closer to KoRn's original style (especially the hard Politics and Hypocrites). The other songs are heavy, melodic, light, intense and relaxed at the same time which makes for an unforgettable experience. The more I listen to the album, the more I like it, unlike some people. I think it's their best album besides Greatest Hits Vol. 1. Can't wait to go to their concert on April 4th :D
