Salespeople are tired of remembering ridiculous closes and trite sayings to trick people into buying their widgets. I know I was. It wasn't natural for me to say something that wasn't in my heart and that I didn't mean. I started turning the sales process inward, sort of selling from the heart and soul and not the manual. This what I have been practicing for several years and it has led me to surprising successes. I always wondered why there wasn't a book on how to do this, so I wrote one. It was a lot of fun. Many of the challenging episodes in the book came from actual experience. I'm out there on the firing lines with the rest of the sales folks, so I know what people are going through.
