I love Tasia's sewing patterns, so I mostly bought this book because she's a fellow Canadian and living the dream of making a living from sewing (and not slaving away to some nutty person's vision of the perfect fitting gown for less than cost). But this book is also beautiful and well done. The pictures are clear and everything is explained so that a beginner can understand. I am by no means a beginner, but this is so much nicer than the old Reader's Digest book that I learned from. And I can't say enough about the sewing and cooking books that use this type of spiral bind. Any reference book should have this these days.

I bought this book as I am a fan of Tasia's Sewaholic blog and sewing patterns. I was very pleased to see that her book contains the same friendly and helpful conversational tones with clear instructions for a wide variety of techniques demonstrated in a easy to find alphabetical order. Great for beginners to advanced sewers!!!!

I just recieved this, and ordered it based on reviews and already follow the Sewaholic website. I am a novice sewer who hopes to get better and take on more complex projects in the future. This book covers so many topics and is clear and concise with lovely photos. It will come in handy as a reference.
