I am a fan of cricket and Sherlock Holmes and Arunabha Sengupta has written a delightful book which combines the two beautifully. I finished this in two days flat and the great Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would have approved of this effort.
The story is set around the famous Oval test match of 1882 and involves the great Sherlock Holmes investigating a case which could have great implications on the game of cricket. The action on the pitch is gripping and the case is just as intriguing. Poor Watson is forever struggling to keep up with both. This is a fictionalised account and I don't want to spoil it for you. All I will reveal is that Arunabha provides a smoking hot ending.
