Product Description

Tina Fey (TV’s Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock) and Amy Poehler (TV’s Saturday Night Live, Parks and Recreation) reunite in Sisters, the story of two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. Looking to recapture their glory days, they throw one final high-school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic rager that a bunch of ground-down adults really need. Critics say Sisters is “hilarious, heartfelt, & downright dysfunctional.” – Ramascreen.com

Wow...I cant believe I bought this disc. Completely disappointing. It has a lot of ad lib bits that fall flat. You can just imagine the director saying "Roll 'em" and Tina or Amy just blurt out some silliness, take after take, and they repeat this process through out the film. All gag reel outtake quality. The editor must of had their hands full picking a "keeper" take. Unfunny, weak (if any)script with juvenile attempted humour with adult language. I wasn't expecting this attempted effort from these 2. If you love Adam Sandler, you will probably love this. Now, what will I do with this -never to be seen again- dvd...

Maura Ellis (Amy Poehler) is the younger and more stable of the two sisters. She is overly helpful to a fault. No seriously, It is a fault. Kate (Tina Fey) the younger sister can't hold a job and is a bad influence for her daughter (Madison Davenport) who is more adult than her. When their parents sell their home the film turns into a high school reunion film with the sisters taking on opposite roles for the night...that is a high school reunion plus hot Asian chicks which are in vogue right now.

I admit I had many laugh out loud moments in a comedy that also had a lot of misses. The crude humor made me think this was a teen sex comedy for middle aged women. Not as good as "Bridesmaids" but if you liked that film, you should smile at this one.

Guide: Plenty of swearing. No nudity. Samantha Bee in a sex scene, sort of. 3 1/2 STARS

So disappointing. So many jokes fell flat and it was a very looooong movie for having such little content. Some was obviously adlibbed but the majority wasnt funny. Very below Tina Fey and her talent level.

It was an OK movie. I saw it when it came out. Would I see it again? If it was on TV then yes. Would I buy it? Maybe as a gift if someone wanted it.
