Product Description

Ren’s trademark cool is beginning to crumble under the strain of maintaining his various personas. And the sudden manly attention being directed at Kyoko from fellow actor Kijima and a newly determined Sho aren’t helping matters. Will Kyoko’s good luck charm keep him in check, or will the beast chained inside him destroy them all?!

HASH(0xa133672c) out of 5 stars The Tsuruga/Kyouko Scenes You've Been Waiting For! Dec 3 2013
By Talvi - Published on
Format: Paperback
Skip Bit 32 is the volume we've been waiting for - when things are finally going to get more intimate between Kyoko and Tsuruga.

In this volume, Sho decides to meddle with poor Kyoko again (Fuwa fans will love the artwork in 32!) and draws out a denial that she would ever be interested in Tsuruga. Unbeknownst to Kyoko, Sho makes sure Tsuruga knows what she said. It'll all come to a head when they don the Heel siblings personna that night and Tsuruga loses both his Ren and Cain personalities - to the more dangerous Kuon). But Kyoko might know a thing or two about how to turn the tables on a very jealous Tsuruga/Kuon. Her boldness is shocking as she seduces Kuon/Tsuruga!

The Breath of Darkness arc is definitely my favorite in the entire series and really the reward for staying with this fun manga through all these volumes. Tsuruga is unable to deny is attraction to Kyoko and pretty soon, she's going to have to admit that she doesn't have to worrry about Fuwa Sho any more and instead has lost to Tsuruga Ren.

The reason to read a professionally translated Cseries is so evident in this and the next volume especially - so much nuances can be missed and backstory lost if the translation isn't spot on. I also liked that the volume began with an image of Kyoko on the beach very reminiscent of the resort scenes from Tokyo Crazy Paradise, Nakamura's previous series.

A great volume and a definite must have for fans of the series. Received as an ARC from the publisher.

HASH(0xa1336780) out of 5 stars Best Series Ever! Dec 19 2013

I love this series and have every book that comes out. This book is one of my favorites in the series but I hate how the book ends with such a cliff hanger. I can't wait for the next book to see how the situation with Kyoko and Ren resolves itself. = )

HASH(0xa1336a5c) out of 5 stars Another fantastic installment Dec 31 2013

No surprise to longtime fans of the series - if you have been reading Skip Beat! from the beginning, you should have no reason to stop now. Things continue to escalate between the Heel siblings in this volume, and it's not going to stop anytime soon.

If you have not read Skip Beat! yet, do yourself a favor and go buy a few volumes. It's the best shoujo manga you can buy.

I absolutely love this manga. It is by far the best Shojo manga I have ever read, and I've read my share of shojo manga. The volume is one of my favorite arcs. I really liked the translation and the book is very easy to read on my kindle. I would recommend this to everyone who enjoys drama and romance.
