Slay by Nina Levine was absolute PERFECTION!!! This book was my favorite of the series. I could not put this book down. Loved every aspect of this book. It had suspense, romance, and of course downright raw, rough, and sexy scenes. ~ Four Chicks Flipping Pages Blog

Slay is book #4 in Nina’s Storm MC novel. This series is one of my all time favorites, each one blows me away more than the last, and Slay is no exception to that. Nina Levine is proving to be a versatile writer and I love how this book explored a more dark plotline. For me, it was a fantastic mix of hot, alpha bikers and desires that walk just that touch on the darker side. I felt that although this book had a more gradual build of excitement, it still had enough pull to hold my interest and keep me on the edge of my seat in anticipation. If you have read the other books in the series, you will know that tensions between the Storm MC club and its rivals have been rising, the danger becoming more intense as more pieces of the puzzle slide into place. I have a feeling that we have only scratched the surface of what this series holds for us and I can’t wait to for the journey to continue.

“There comes a point where we have to forgive ourselves, forgive the mistakes we’ve made and make the decision to move forward.”

Donovan “Blade” Brookes is a hard man. Running from the demons of his past, his only focus is on running his businesses and helping to right the wrongs his father has made. Being the son of Marcus Cole isn’t easy, especially when his father is a mean SOB that finds joy in torturing others, Blade included. As destruction and warfare swirls around him and the family he loves, Blade slips deeper into the abyss, his blood lust the only thing keeping him sane. His character was so intriguing to me, I was enthralled by the way his protective nature brought out his urge to eliminate any threat to his loved one or the men he called brothers. And god if it wasn’t hotter than Hades when he got all riled up - and the thing that got underneath his skin the most?

My rating: 4.5 of 5 ⭐️

I'm thinking there is a new favorite Storm MC hero!!

Blade has been an enigma through this series, dark-edged and moody, we never had a chance to really get to know him. In Slay, we see him revealed; layer by layer. And every new dimension that is added to Blade, makes him even more attractive. Who thought that beneath that dangerous veneer would be a man craving things he felt undeserving of. The only person so far who has been able to put a crack in his hard shell has been his sister Madison. That is until he has a good look at a pretty bartender and finally sees her.

Layla has had a rough go of it, but she has been able to pull herself on top every time. She wasn't too sure if she would be able to get out of this one, though. Her business partner gone, leaving her with a massive pile of problems, none of which were of her making. Not accustomed to help, Layla initially sees the big hulking man who has been sitting in the corner of her bar as a threat and an intrusion. But object as she might, Blade seems determined to protect her. And if she is honest, she'll admit it feels good; being looked after.

Two people with huge chips on their shoulders, who are able to pick away at the other's resistance slowly.

A fantastic emotional roller-coaster ride, with a great deal of raw and gritty action to boot. Nina shows us a bit of the entire Storm MC cast, and allows us to keep track of everyone's comings and goings..... and not all of them are rosy!! Significant events take place that shake the core of the Storm MC and have our heroes scrambling to hold things together!!

I'll start by saying holy hell this is by far my favourite so far in the Storm mc series. Nina delivered another outstanding book. This book was brilliant and so well written it will have you hanging on the edge of your seat and have you feeling so many emotions for the two main characters. We get to find out what has shaped Blade into the man he is today. And my God what a man he is Blade is pure alpha and most certainly has a way with words we get to see into the depth of his soul. Blade is loyal respectful and very protective of what matters the most to him. Blade did not have an easy life growing up he had to sit by as a child and watch his father be not only mentally abusive but also psychically abusive towards his mother and also be on the receiving end of it too. He swore he would seek revenge when he was older. And vowed never to be like his father. Blade has a lot of demons over the murder of his fiancee 3yrs ago which he blames himself for. Layla Reed is part owner of a bar which Blade has been visiting for over a yr. One night Blade steps in to help Layla out with a situation that has been caused by her business partner. Layla is very self independent woman and doesn't like to owe people anything. So she finds it hard accepting help from a man she only knows as a customer. This turn of events brings two broken souls together. Will Layla allow Blade to help her when she needs it. Will Blade allow Layla to see past his rough exterior? Can they be what each other needs to get past there demons? This book will have you hooked from the start. I honestly can't praise Nina Levine enough when it comes to this book. This is definitely a book you need to 1 click and add to your TBR
