Very loud. Not as expected. Very disapointed. Ordered another make: Its a Kingwin CF-08LB 80mm. This one is very quiet at a fraction of the cost.
I would highly recommend it.

HASH(0xa775f450) out of 5 stars Cools, but is extremely loud March 5 2013

This fan was able to fit in my HTPC, but the fan is by far the loudest in the case. When it wakes from standby it has an even louder noise to it. For those of you worried about the noise level, I'd advise against this fan. I am currently on the lookout for a replacement.

HASH(0xa785d720) out of 5 stars Lasted for a year June 3 2013

I bought this a year ago. It is the perfect size for my tiny HTPC case. I woke up last night to a loud noise and discovered it was coming from the HTPC. So today when I got home from work I opened the case expecting the noise to be coming from the somewhat old hard drive. Nope. Okay, stick my finger in the case fan, nope. What? It was so loud I didn't think that little CPU fan could make that much noise. I stuck my finger in there for a second and the noise stopped. Wow.

So now I need to find a new low profile fan.

HASH(0xa74c59a8) out of 5 stars Didn't even last a full year Oct. 14 2013

Didn't make it a full year and I ran the fan at 50%. after awhile it got SUPER loud and squealed off and on but wasn't too bad running at 50%, now its just completely dead. I shouldn't have to be in the market for a new cpu fan every year, guess I'll try a different brand now.

HASH(0xa785d9e4) out of 5 stars Quiet, slim, but not very powerfull fan. June 3 2012

Great product. I needed an aftermarket slim CPU cooler for a case mod I was workin on. I like it a lot and the way you put it together means a very tight and snug fit. Everyone spazzes out you have to put a few little o-ring thingies on beforehand but if you use the same technique as you would ANY OTHER CPU COOLER ON THE MARKET! Then everything goes great. I Know this as I plugged it up and got everything perfect first try. My only problem is that you should not really use this for gaming hardcore as the fan that comes with it is a very slim 80mm fan and it is not powerful. Very week. I tried putting a stronger fan but I need a Slim 80mm not just any 80mm fan. So if you are going for a micro or minimalist build then this is perfect, If you want a powerful monster then go somewhere else.

HASH(0xa782e564) out of 5 stars Low profile, easy to install, fan is loud in full speed. Performance is almost the same as the stock Intel Cooler. Nov. 11 2012

Got Lian Li PC-Q07 with i3 2125 and need a CPU Cooler that can reverse the fan because the case itself does not have any system fan other than the fans inside the PSU abd CPU Cooler. If the CPU fan is reverse and suck the heat toward the PSU fan, the PSU will be able to draw the heat out of the box. After considering the issues for price, performance, height of cooler, I bought a recondition X3 from Amazon Market. It came without the original box. But all parts and instruction are intact and looks new to me. Overall, it is easy to install. Low profile does make it a good choice of HTPC slim case. If the fan runs in full speed, it is a little loud (my PC-Q07B is just behind my monitor that is two feet away) . I adjust the level of fan control in BIOS to make it run quite. When the room is around 23 degree, the temperature of CPU is 34-36 degree idle and 52-56 degree full load which is about 5-8 degree lower than the intel stock cooler. If your case has good airflow, I believe its performance will be similar to the intel cooler. But its fan can be reversed installed (adding screws to create gap between fan and heatsink) to fit my need. Yes, I am happy for this purchase and will recommend it to any one who has the special need. By the way, it is not designed for the CPU with 65W TDP or more. Make sure what is the TDP of your CPU before buying it.
