His family, devastated and shamed by the events are totally destroyed. The young Muslim boy grows up to control the most violent and feared criminal gang in Liverpool. By now he has developed into a complete and sadistic psychopath - totally untouchable by the guardians of law and order. However, his downfall is being planned by an even more dangerous foe. This is an edge of your seat thriller that leaves the reader engrossed from the first to the last page.

I’m just in awe of Conrad Jones. This book has been beautifully written, bringing the characters to life. I love all his books. This was very emotional in parts and certainly tense. I have read all the ‘Alec Ramsay’ series, and was so taken by him and his ‘sidekicks’. CJ didn’t put a foot wrong in expressing and explaining every detail within the storyline. He did his research well. Praise must go to the brave bomb disposal team. There appeared to be a political theme going on, but was well integrated into the story. Well done CJ.

Yes, a good read and I could not put it down towards the end. But...there were so many typos that it did spoil the enjoyment and a couple were whole sentences that just did not make sense.
Also, a tad confusing at the start with so much back and forth between past and present that i did lose track a bit but on the whole a great tale of exacting revenge on criminals who started out as bullies and rapists and ended their days knowing who had targeted them and why. Very good but sad twist at the end. I have already downloaded the third in the series.

I must admit the title may put some people off, but please don't let it, as this book is such a great read, you just do not want to put it down, I went to bed far too late on many an occasion because of it.
It has been thought out well, and seems so realistic you feel that you are part of the storyline.
The ending was not how I expected it to be, which is good as it doesn't make it predictable.
Looking forward to reading more books from the author 'Conrad Jones' as this book is one that belongs in my Top category of reading material as it was superb.
