Excellent for home dog grooming use and saving hundreds of $ so far and look forward to saving and using this. Considering each full grooming session is $100 with tips etc this is well worth the investment. I do my pup’s sanitary area, clean up feet and foot pads, shape and groom ears.
Be gentle and careful and let the dog get used to the vibrating and sounds first. My suggestion is to start very slowly especially for puppies. For ie, do one foot one day. A day later do the second foot and so on. Do the foot pads a week or two later. Do not rush all at once. Use treats. You’ll also enjoy it a lot more and it becomes a bonding exercise. I never intend to go back to a groomer again although I have a LOT of respect for groomers. It is a lot of work!

Je n'ai jamais pu aller voir une toiletteuse afin d'éviter un stress supplémentaire. Comme la priorité des vétérinaires est le soin, ce qui est tout à faire normal, j'ai décidé de tenter ma chance avec cet achat. Ce n'est pas toujours évident car il se forme de gros mottons sur son dos qui ne peuvent pas être retirés en le peignant. Avec cet appareil, j ai réussi à lui retirer un motton de la taille d'un cup Tassimo sur son dos avec succès. ATTENTION je n'ai pas fait la tonte au complet car je ne voulais pas l'angoisser. J'ai approché mon petit poilu lentement en me promenant avec l'appareil en fonction pour le son qui est très bas. Ensuite je lui ai montré, j'ai tenté et arrêté. Quelques minutes plus tard, j ai pris mon petit poilu et tenté à nouveau. Après la 5ieme fois, j ai réussi à lui retirer ce motton très serré collé à sa peau sur son dos sans blessure. Je suis très contente car je ne voulais pas que ce motton s'étende et qu'il soit obligé d'endurer l'inconfort le temps de pouvoir avoir un RDV chez le vétérinaire qui aurait pu être très long puisque ce n'est pas une priorité. Je le recommende.

Bought these to use on my horse who has never been clipped before. I put her next to my older horse who could care less and went back and forth so she could see it was no big deal. Totally worked as they are quiet and fast with no cord to dangle around. I've used clippers that cost 5x this amount. For doing small jobs around the face, these are awesome. Body clipping, a small dog with soft/fine hair would be ok but not thick undercoats.

I have two older horses that aren't shedding and need to be clipped. The vet recommended I hire someone to do it because clippers are expensive and I'd "go through so many blades" clipping a horse. Well, for $30, I thought it was worth a try with these after I read other reviews. I'm glad I did, because they worked great! Yes, they get full of hair pretty quickly, but it's really easy to pop open the blade and clean it. I just had to be patient and clip about 30 min each evening (that's about all my horses wanted to put up with at a time), but I got the job done. They're fairly quiet, and best of all they don't get hot. Especially with the little plastic clip guards on, I never had to worry about burning me or the horse. Also, after all the clipping, the blade seems to cut just as well as at the beginning (when it's clean and oiled, of course). I like these so much, I think I may order another clipper just to keep as a spare.
