Product Description

The ‘Smokefree way’ is a breakthrough smoking cessation program. It is the most innovative, up-to-date and intelligent method which will lead you to become smokefree forever. The program is based on a natural and powerful approach which sets the record straight with our smoking while revealing every weak spot that keeps us dependent on cigarettes. Through this amazing method you will acquire the knowledge of how to use the same mechanisms that keep the addiction going, in order to set yourself absolutely free from smoking.

About the Author

Tamir Turgal is a writer, jurist, public speaker and ex-smoker. While engaged in an in depth research project which led to his own personal quitting, he unearthed a unique way to set free from the distressing addiction to smoking by using exactly the same tools that created and sustained the addiction. The ‘Smokefree way’ focuses on understanding the components of the addiction, creating an awareness of its physical and mental aspects which are the foundations of actually quitting. The program was developed and tried in the framework of a controlled setting over the course of about three years before it was launched commercially. This process was conducted in a way that closely resembles the usual food and drug administrations’ accepted procedures. The resulting comprehensive study is now being offered for the first time in a written format, and is the most effective guide written so far on smoking cessation. This is an outstanding program that really works. It is based on a unique approach that leads to a change in the way we experience the addiction to smoking even during the reading of the text. Along the way we reach a point of readiness to set free from smoking without any special effort, and move on calmly and positively to becoming smokefree.

"The Smokefree Way: Read your way to Stop Smoking" provides a wealth of information for anyone who seriously wants to stop smoking. As well. the book is a wonderful tool to start the person or family member on the smokefree journey.

The discussions provided by the author is non-threatening and easy to digest. Furthermore, he breaks down the numerous reasons for our addiction to smoking: smoking and concentration, smoking and self-confidence, passing the time smoking, smoking, enjoyment and relaxation, etc. For example, in Chapter 4 (Stressful Situations and Chainsmoking), he clearly explains that “chain smoking actually points to the fact that smoking cigarettes does not lead to a relief from stress and anyone observing from the sidelines would undoubtedly describe the smoker as looking tenser than those around him. (He is referring to stressful situations such as in a hospital.)

This author clearly knows his stuff, and is generous enough to share what's he's learned from his own personal experience, about how to quit smoking in a very unique way. By dissecting the addiction the reader has an understanding of the psychological and physical dependence behind the habit that keeps them hooked. It really gets down to the nitty gritty, but in a very positive way. He likens stopping the addiction to backing out of a mine, slowly and carefully, and reminds the reader that they weren't born this way.

I think a book of this caliber could easily be effective in helping to treat other addictions, because it gives one back the power to help change one's mindset. And as the author too points out "If you keep an open mind...this will work."

I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone I know who is looking to quit! A+

This one is tougher to review, as I don't care for books wanting to tell m how to stop smoking. I am no sure cigarettes are responsiible for half the problems people put on them But okay they are not good for your health. Now, food -or too much food is bad too. Meds are bad. Booze equally, and sex my give you Aids and other stuff...
So, maybe at first, you must relativise.
se bit. hen, you must accept to dive iiton the great unknown... What Tamir is saying is simply that if you want, you can stop, and you don't need much help., just a bit of will and it works easily. I believe it. So, a book worth reading for the smokers wanting to stop. I agree...

By Vio - Published on Amazon.com

Among the countless books about quitting smoking cigarettes I read, this is the best one. This book do not provides the usual lecture, and so-called miraculous advices but a very complete and comprehensible explanation about nicotine addiction. And yes, it actually worked for me - I quitted smoking.

This best thing I can say about this book is that I haven't had a cigarette since I started reading it!
Reading this has given me the tools I needed to develop the willpower to quit.
The problem with me is way more mental than physical. Thanks to this book I now have a lot of invaluable information to which I'm sure I'll be referring back to in the future. Most highly recommend to anyone who wants to QUIT smoking.

HASH(0xa25d199c) out of 5 stars Light smoker but a heavy addict Dec 29 2013

This is clear based on someone’s own personal experience. That was very important to me. He for example knows about what it is to be a ‘light’ smoke which is what I think of myself as being or having been because I spend most of my day in an office where of course you cannot smoke. What really bothered me was that in the office I spent so much time planning when I could possibly have the next ‘puff’ .
This part of the book was really important to me the way it explained not only the smoking itself but how much of our lives are spent thinking about it , planning when to go out to the street and have one, worrying about running out. It’s not such an easy read by any means but I think it has something for everyone.

HASH(0xa2267624) out of 5 stars Excellent, comprehensive, thorough and in-depth book April 13 2015
By Robin Houghton - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
The most comprehensive, thorough and in-depth book I have ever seen on the subject. The physical, psychological, social and personal issues are all covered in great detail. Much of what is covered applies equally to many other cravings and addictions. Having the reasons and needs behind the cravings explained makes it so much easier to deal with, and in a less demanding way. The difficulties are all covered in an understanding and sympathetic way. I can't think of anything the author has left out. This is a book to keep referring back to in times of doubt as well, and keep you looking forward positively.

HASH(0xa34e26d8) out of 5 stars This one worked for me April 28 2015

I downloaded and read four books as I planned to give up my lifelong habit. Three of them were short, written for Kindle ebooks that contained the same droll, oft-repeated information and advice you can find on hundreds of websites. This book, however, is vastly different and discusses at length the nicotine addiction cycle in unique ways that I hadn't heard before. With kind of a quirky writing style, the book is probably not for everyone--but it was instrumental in my kicking a 40 year habit. Highly recommended.
