Good quality control so no cross-contamination of other allergens
on August 2, 2015 - Published on Amazon.com
Flavor Name: Unsweetened Vanilla
The thing about this product is that it is controlled for non-contamination by other allergens. If you have a life-and-death allergy to something like almonds (like me), this supercedes any complaint I may have about taste. Yes, it is a bit watery but hey, I can drink it without planning my next trip to the ER. I don't know of any other alternative-milk company that can make that claim. And it's non-GMO so we don't have to worry about getting a serving of glyphosate with every glass. Latex food allergy sufferers take note as well: this doesn't have any coconut, palm oil, or even Vit. A palmitate. :-)

Not my favorite -- tastes more like filtered water than nut milk
on September 13, 2014 - Published on Amazon.com
Not my favorite -- tastes more like filtered water than nut milk. I bought this as a possible replacement for the kind of cashew (nut) milk sold by raw/cold-pressed juice shops that sell cashew milk as part of a juice cleanse. Granted, this is unsweetened, but even after I added (and kept adding) sweeteners like agave (and honey), it never gave that true, rich and full-bodied nut milk flavor and taste that I was looking for. Cashew milk (like any other nut milk) is made by soaking crushed up, water-soaked nuts with filtered water, which is then strained. Usually, when you make it at home or buy it from juice shops, you get a nice, rich balance of the nut flavor along with the filtered water used to make this milk. This specific brand seems like it's mostly water, and not much nut/cashew. It tastes really thin, and it's very difficult to figure out what type of nut milk this is. Even after adding vanilla powder to it (along with cinnamon), I had a difficult time really enjoying this.
