I was a little sceptical when I ordered this towel, because I wasn’t sure it would actually live up to all of the positive reviews. I’m really glad I listened to the reviews and purchased this product because it works wonders!

My dog is forever running, rolling, and laying down in puddles making him SOAKING wet. I was pulling my hair out with the amount of towels I was using on my dog throughout the week, and most of the time they wouldn’t do a good job of drying him off. The Soggy Doggy really does seem to soak up more water than a regular towel does. I really like that you can hang it up to dry on a hook, or you can hang it up to dry the way you would a regular towel. The design is really well thought out because it allows you to put each hand into a pocket at the ends of the towel and “wax on, wax off” your dog to dry him thoroughly.

I recommend this product to anyone looking for a better solution to drying off their pet!

We've now had this towel for over a year and it's ok. I purchased the shammy because we were using our regular human towels to dry the dog off, but he's pretty big and we wanted something more efficient. Our dog is a 130lb mastiff, so lots of surface area to cover. After a bath we could get his chest decently dry or most of his back, but the shammy would get waterlogged before we could finish drying him off completely. What we ended up doing is using 2 human towels plus the shammy to get the dog fully dried off. We just moved to a new home and actually only use the shammy for cleaning the dog's muddy paws before he comes into the house and this has worked really well for us.

As soon as this arrived I put my pooch in the bath to test its performance. I have a Lhasa Apso and a Cavachon so they hold a lot of water in their hair. My dog seemed to enjoy being rubbed with this rather than a towel. This shammy is EXTREMELY SOFT and probably the reason he enjoyed it. After I dried him the shammy was waaaay heavier than I started and wasn't dripping at all. I hung this on my clothes airer above my Dehumdifier and it was dry within a few hours. I cannot wait to try on a dirty pooch as I think this will capture all the debris.
The pockets for your hands is a fab idea as you can get under the chin etc to dry much easier. To dry tummy place shammy under your dog and do a sawing action, back and forth. I think having a couple of these would be great, keep one in car and one in house. I'll make do with one the now.
I cannot stress how super soft this is! I wish they did a human size towel made of this because it would be straight in my basket! My only criticism is the price, little bit steep for what basically is a bath mat in your hands. Great product though!

I am now trying to teach him to wipe his paws himself and he is doing a reasonable job of the front, the back are more of a problem. He stands patiently while I rub his back or tummy dry. The first thing that gets used on our german shepherd/husky cross when she comes in from the garden or a walk. This gets most of the moisture off, and we then follow up with a separate towel for her paws, with a robe on standby for when she's got soaked in the rain.

She enjoys being rubbed down with this. For our dog, it could have been slightly larger, but it still works. The "pockets" (I'm not sure I would really call them that) allow drying whilst preventing dog from doing a runner (not that she has tried so far).
