2.Preset temperature function, set a frequently used temperature and time you would keep using at this temperature,so during working mode, just press the knob then it heats up to this preset temperature immediately.
3.Temperature locking function, the Max. Power consumption could reach 72W,the highest temperature can be as high as 490℃(914℉),but it is not suggested to soldering at temperature higher than 380℃ for a long period,or else it will shorten the life of heating element and the tip,you can set a locking temperature to protect authorized temperature change, which keeps the soldering iron at a specific temperature
This is a powerful soldering iron, come with a mini controller, light weight and compact designed, you can carry to where you need to do soldering work.
The soldering iron uses T12 integrated tip(tip with heater built-in),it heats up in seconds and thermal recovery is very quick,no more long weight during work,it is especially ideal for heavy duty soldering applications, such as big joint, battery and solar panel soldering .

I've seen this iron and I gave it a go. I have to say I'm impressed with the quality.
First thing I did is open it to add the ground wire as stated in the descriition. Since I know my place is correctly grounded I did the mod. The case is very easy to open. While inside I noticed that the main is solered to the plug. I would have prefered proper crimps connector on the main plug instead. It's just a better practice to crimp connections. One other thing, the power supply board isn't screwed to the case but it's glued in place in each 4 corners. That's a little cheap way, but at that price point I'll pass over this point with no problems. In the case the power supply take pretty much all the room which is usually a sign of power output. The PCB have cut out between the high voltage and low voltage. It's of a good design and I've seen much worst looking power supply in better known brand of products. I pretty much like the way it's built.
The performance of the iron in itself is stunning. At first I thought I've got a defect since there is no way the iron could reach 300C in 5 sec or less ( from off, the time the boot is finished and the temperature is on the display, well it is ready ). I tried a little bit of solder to confirm and it melted right away.
The iron bip when it's ready at the set temperature. It's a nice thing if you take it out of the holder out of sleep it will tell you it's ready. I don't have a thermistor to check calibration, but I'll assume they aren't too far off. Melting point of 63/37 is about 250C and at that temp it was barely melting.
The cable that connect the iron to the box feel like silicon wire, it is really flexible and lite which is a plus. I really like it. I won't have to fight my wire anymore. The cable isn't extremely long, but just long enough to reach all my bench.
Configurations and settings are very deep and I'll let you go thru them, they are self explanatory. You have shortcuts with one press and two press of the button. I configured mine for one press would be sleep and two press would be switch between two preset temperatures. One thing about the settings, the max temp setting require a password, which is not given anywhere. Although max temp is on mine set a 450C, so I doubt needing more than this ever.
The iron come with 2 tips T12-K and T12-IL, The IL one is a conical tip, which will probably never be used ( they're the worst ), I would have prefered a D16 instead of the IL but the K will do for now.
All in all, this thing is extremely well priced and very nice performance. Even if you would save some $ building it yourself the small difference ( less than 10$ ) isn't worth it.
PROS :
-Heat up so fast your head will spin
-Good settings range
-Good construction/design
-2 tips supplied
-Inexpensive price point for what you're getting
CONS :
-No iron holder
Some front end modules that I have bought elsewhere often would not have provision for the shake sensor that is often built into the handle on many of these type of soldering irons. However, this one uses it and it is very handy when you forget that it is on, it will stop the power going the the iron after the set time, but if you move the handle a bit it will turn back on and heat back up. I believe this feature can be turned off though if you don't like it
Some people may not like that this setup does not come with a soldering iron stand. However, for me I have a 3D printed stand that I prefer to use, and would likely have replaced any stand it came with anyway. But keep that in mind if you do not currently have a stand.
In my opinion having the power switch at the back was a big mistake. The form-factor of this soldering iron makes it perfect to be stacked underneath other tools, which is the case for me. This makes the power switch hard to access. I was able to modify it so there is another power switch on the left side near the front which is much more convenient, but I would not recommend that unless you know what you are doing and don't mind the risk of killing your soldering station.
Although there I have not used most of the settings, it seems like there a lot of customization that is available in the menus. Overall I have been very impressed with this soldering station and it is going on 6 months now.
I highly recommend this station, the quality is great and features are what you'd expect from a much more expensive kit. The tip that this came with wasn't ideal for my application (quadcopter) but it was enough to do the job. Ordering different T12 tips is not a problem as there's a large selection available.
Edit: I noticed there are a lot of DIY T12 guides online, I went ahead and added up the parts to make this and this station is still priced very well compared to buying all the parts separately. You'd of course save a significant amount of time putting it together and instead go ahead with building your project.
