Something Precious
Book 5 of Something Great &
Book 2 of Something Amazing
M. Clarke

As we continue following Jax and Rachel's love story, we will find ourselves in this romantic realm that we will forget the characters are fictional and that is the magic only M. Clarke can deliver.

Jax and Rachel are living in happyland but not everything is what it seems, between doubts and insecurities Rachel has been having a hard time and to add to the stress Chloe Jax's ex has made it her personal goal to make their lives miserable.

This is the time where Rachel and Jax will have to be strong together in order to defeat the demons lurking in the shadows. But are either one strong enough to do so?

If you had asked me how would I imagined the ending to Rachel and Jax's story I would have never imagined this ending and is the best.

Not only they will leave a smile in your face, your heart will be content too. You don't want to miss this incredible story and the series is one of the best by far.

I recommend it, don't wait too long to read it you don't know what your are missing.

Review of Something Precious (Something Amazing #2) by M. Clarke

Review done for Hooked on Books

5 out of 5 stars

Jax and Rachel are ready to start their life back in Los Angeles. Happiness is short-lived for the two of them as Jax’s ex Chloe is back with a vengeance.

Chloe is not going to stop until she gets her son and Jax back. She is absolutely ruthless.

Rachel loves her job as a photographer but unfortunately has to deal with Chloe and the constant gossip involving Jax.

Rachel does her best to be strong but when she is pushed to the brink, she is done. When her high school crush comes into the picture, her head is spinning.

Jax will do everything to prove his love for Rachel. He tries his best to do the right thing for his son, but he unintentionally causes grief for Rachel. He just isn’t sure he knows what to do anymore.

This was a great continuation of Jax and Rachel’s story. There were so many up and down emotions. I couldn’t help but want to yell out at the two to stop being so stubborn. Chloe was an absolute disgrace but she definitely made the story interesting.

I love this series and definitely recommend it to read!

* I was given this book in exchange for my honest opinion.*

I had already fallen in love with Jax and Rachel's story in Something Amazing, but reading Something Precious has taken it to a whole new level.

After reading Something Amazing I was a bit sad and felt like there was so much more to their story and I wanted to know it ALL.

Leave it to Mary to deliver once again!

Reading Something Precious left me all giddy and feeling like "all is right with the world". This time I was completely satisfied with how the story ended. I loved leaving them both so happy and content in their own world. It was great to read a few happy chapters and get closure. Most authors just skip this part and it drives me nuts. After all the cliffhangers, I believe both we and the characters deserved it. :)

Through many complications and twists of the plot I couldn't stop admiring the fact how human the characters appeared in their behavior and reactions. One of my favorite twists being the appearance of Rachel's high school crush. It would have been so easy for Rachel to turn to something simple and "light" in moments of despair, but truly valuable things in life have to be earned. I am so glad she toughed it out and decided to fight for her man and their future together.

A few more more thing I got reminded of: things are often not what they seem to be, "no good deed comes unpunished" and anything is possible with the love of our family and friends. I truly felt for Jax, trying to do what is best for Jace, often knowing in advance how risky/tricky it might be. A good parent would do anything for his/her child including risking their own happiness.

The emotions running through this book were strong and I felt them all. The happiness, the pain, endearment, aggravation, fear, rage, relief... you name it. The plot was captivating till the very end.

I love this series so much and M. Clarke doesn't disappoint with yet another amazing tale of love, friendship, sweet and I have to say this one was even hotter than the others!!!
Jax and Rachel are finally on track and their lives together keeps getting better and better..until Chloe comes back.
That B...don't get me started.. I have enough of her meddling.. I was so so mad at her and frustrated with Jax, even tho he was just trying to do what was right.
I smiled, I laughed, I swooned a lot cause hello..gotta love this man.. and I cried..but in the end they were happy tears.
I loved the story, I loved to see Jax doting on Rachel and being an awesome man and dad, but most of all I loved how Rachel grew more assertive and felt way more comfortable in her skin, even tho it took a while!
I will never get tired of these characters and these families!!!
