I'm really impressed with how tight and controlled the sound can be on this sonos arc sound bar .. it projects a lot of sound toward the front, without needing to be super loud, and especially the dialogue boost is excellent for this (before I activated that, it was not sounding so good for our living area)
Really useful since we live in a condo building.. I am not after adding a sub nor am i bothered about rear speakers. The 'surround' on it fooled me well enough that i was suitably distracted by a sound from the right and behind from a mandalorian soundtrack last night just after setting it up, and I am sure it will provide some atmos verticality as well
Also tested it with movie soundtracks that I am very familiar with and it sounds great, not muddy, crisp and clear.. it even handles very dynamic soundtracks like the original ghostbusters movie, where you might need to always be riding the volume, very well when set up that way
Once tweaked with eq, loudness, nighttime/daytime adjustment (I basically set ours up on perpetual nighttime) and dialogue boost it has tremendous clarity
I bought it largely for it's hdmi EARC capability, although it does not handle DTS which may be a problem for some people (our player, cinebeam projector, can receive dts and send it in a different format so this is not an issue for us)
Would highly recommend this product. Bit pricey compared to other sound bars but worth it in my opinion

Better than my old Bose Cinemate 130 system with a subroofer
Better than my old Bose Cinemate 130 system with a sub-roofer. The bass from the Sonos is pretty impressive considering it doesn't have the optional sub-roofer.TV : It connects perfectly on the EARC output of my LG 65NANO85 TV. I am able to control the volume with the TV remote which also controls my Apple TV. (no need for a harmony remote anymore) I tested Atmos with the TV native Netflix app and with the Apple TV 4k netflix app.With the Sonos iphone app, I was able to setup internet radio stations (Sonos Radio, MyTuner Radio). I like the reduce noise (enhance voice) and the night mode for the TV sound. I was also able to airplay itunes music to the Sonos bar. You can also setup the Sonos with a streaming music services like Amazon, Apple, Spotify, ...
