As well as being a disc (Bluray/DVD/CD) player, the 6700 has many features similar to smart TVs. It comes pre-loaded with Netflix and many other apps. There is Bluetooth functionality, so that sound can be broadcast to headphones rather than played on your TV or Audio system. Screen mirroring can replicate your computer or phone’s display and sounds. The 6700 can read from media servers on the network, and is supposed to be able to broadcast media plugged into its USB port. There is integrated Wifi so you don’t need to use a wired connection for remote locations.
REMOTE
A compact remote is included (with batteries). The remote includes the expected features plus a dedicated Netflix button, and a Bluetooth button to toggle between a paired headset and normal sound via your TV or audio system. There are a few buttons to control some features of your TV (power, input, volume).
PERFORMANCE
* Bluray/DVD – Excellent picture quality and loading speeds.
* Streaming – Netflix works flawlessly, and faster than my smart TV.
* Bluetooth Audio – Awesome feature to have, especially useful with the dedicated button on the remote.
