I normally wear a size 8, but after reading all of the reviews decided to go a half size smaller 7.5. Very happy to find that I chose the right size... it's a perfect fit! I have a slender foot, but I could see where this shoe might feel tight for someone with a wider foot. However, they will stretch! I would say the break in period will be half a day at most.
Love these so much I plan on purchasing these in the brown too.
I looked into how to shine up the boots, which appears that Sorel doesn't really offer any guidance on this. I've searched their website and found general no directions. There is zero directions for care in the boot itself. The tag only says made in china. Which makes me think these boots could be fake boots. I will research further to see if these are fake counterfeit boots. They seem well made except for the general lack of cutting the extra string in the sewing of the production of the seams. So lots of loose threads which I will go after with a pair of sharp scissors. I would not recommend the boots as they inside of the soul has little to zero comfort and support. Definitely made for a more narrow foot. Let me test them out and update with photos. The box it was shipped in was bashed and smashed because they ship only the 1 boot inside a flimsy plastic package. The shoes appear unharmed from their journey from factory to customer. I'll update with photos of the boots. I'll also test scuff marks and wear and blister test. How well does it do with socks?
