Learn NOW the Basics of Spanish in 10 Days!

Meet Ben
“Ben was touring a small village in Costa Rica with a group. During the tour, he got distracted and saw this beautiful woman. His heart skipped a beat and was eager to approach her. But there was only one small problem. He didn’t even know what to say to her. In Spanish.
But he approached her anyways. He said “hello” to her in English and started talking to her. But the look on her face wasn’t all smiles and giggles. It was confusion. She had no idea what he said. “I’m such an idiot,” Ben said to himself. He turned around to go back to his group..only to see that they were long gone. ‘Oh no!’, Ben said to himself. His heart was beating fast. He was lost. And he didn’t know a word of Spanish to ask for help. He searched the entire village for an hour until the group finally returned. Thanks to his lack of knowledge in Spanish, Ben missed out on a lot. His tour group went on a jungle adventure and explored caves. He was disappointed. But on the bright side, he did relax at the beach later that day. Perfect for the stress he went through. But the old ‘I wish I knew Spanish’ kept echoing in his head.”

So..What’s The Situation Here
Ben was in an unfamiliar place. He didn’t know a single word of Spanish. And it created a huge language barrier between himself and the local people. Of course, not everyone around the world can speak English. So, he got lost and missed out on a lot of things he was excited for. All because he got lost and did not know even the basics of Spanish.
This shouldn’t be you. You can count on that.

This is the book I have been looking for to learn spanish from scratch. After a few days of practice I can easily say that I'm so happy with the results that I have. Of course there is a lot of work to do to speak like a native, but I'm in the right path and I feel pretty confident.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too many mistakes! Sept. 26 2016
By Billy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
As a native Spanish speaker I downloaded this book for free on Kindle to see if I would recommend it to my friend who wants to learn Spanish. I can't!

In just a few minutes I found so many mistakes. For example: the author claims that V and B have exactly the same sound in Spanish when this is not true. Furthermore on these same two letters. He says that B or be is also called " grande B" ,NO!, the order is wrong, it should be "B grande" and V or ve/uve is also called "chica ve", again NO!, the other is important "chica B" literally means "B-girl"!. Also Zeta is not pronounced theta in Latin America. Only in Spain. This can be forgiven if the intention is to learn Spanish from Spain but this is such a huge difference between Latin American Spanish and that from Spain that I'm surprised he doesn't even mention it.

The author says that there is no equivalent for AM and PM when saying time. WRONG! In fact AM and PM come from Latin and thus have a direct translation in Spanish. AM: ante meridiem/ antes meridiano. PM: post meridiem/ pasado meridiano. Heck, we can even say 6AM as "seis a eme"

Some of the example phrases are also not very natural, nobody says "¿puedo tener uno?" this is a word by word translation of "may I have one". Same in "¿Puedo tener mas?, again using have as in English. You don't ask to have something in Spanish, it doesn't sound natural.
"Yo tengo Ambre" is another one. It's Hambre with an H (silent as always in Spanish of course).

I can mention so many more mistakes ... "el inundación de agua" WRONG, should be La inundación (feminine noun) ... ) and saying water is redundant. Do you say a flood of water or just a flood in English? .. and so many more ...

This is supposed to be the basics of Spanish, you cannot afford to have the foundations wrong. Even if it's a free download it's not worth it.

The sounds also should be embedded, instead of taking you to a web link you cannot access offline. Or maybe offer to download the MP3's.

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative guide with sample phrases June 26 2016
By Theo Martin - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I think this is a good collection of Spanish phrases and words to learn. There are also charts and tables that are filled with information such as the past, future and present tenses of the words. I think this guide made it easier to remember spanish phrases, words and sentences. It made learning Spanish really fun and easy. I'm impressed with this guide as it helped improve my vocabulary in Spanish and understand the sentence patterns and common phrases to learn for tourists.

1.0 out of 5 stars Tables cut off, Typos Dec 7 2016
By Bibi Reads, A LOT - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
All of the tables are cut off on the right and you can't scroll over in the kindle version, making critical tabular information (like conjugations) inaccessible. There are multiple typing/spelling errors that even I could see with my quite limited study of Spanish.
5.0 out of 5 stars Learn the basics of the language. Quite helpful. July 28 2016

A book that I needed since I am planning on taking a basic Spanish class this coming fall semester. For me it is very important to be fluent or atleast know the basics of the language since it is one of the most used language here in the US. Working and meeting Spanish people, I have learned how to speak bits and pieces since some words are used/same back in my country. I am happy that this book covers the basics that I need to be able to construct sentences and start a simple conversation. So I'd say that I am happy with the book and will surely keep it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Practical guide on Spanish learning Sept. 20 2016
By Kevin Hunter - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
For the last one year I have been learning the language and each time when I went through some book, there was something new I found that increased my knowledge and improve the skills like in this book, subject pronouns take the place of subject nouns. You won’t hear them spoken frequently by native Spanish speakers because the subject is often relayed by the ending of the verb. You must learn them, however, as they are used as reference in verb conjugations.
